So I'm laying the groundwork for a PVP arena for myself and a few friends. I want to set up several "classes", or equipment sets available in each ready room using chests or dispensers. I'm in need of some guidance on cheat prevention (making sure only one equipment set is picked.
To ensure I'm not being overly vague, I'm thinking something like several chests or dispensers set up, one having, for example, heavy armor with subpar weaponry, or a bow with light armor, so on and so forth. I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of a button or lever that gives access to their equipment of choice, and also denying access to the other sets afterward.
Any ideas, explanations, or links to relevant material are greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!

Could you rig it so that the other equipment choices were in rooms with lava above. Once you have made your choice the lava in the other rooms drops?
This would give you the advantage of punishing anyone trying to take a second choice.
Cant give you any ideas on the detail, just the concept.
My initial thought was using (in my case based on the number of classes I have planned) 6 chests each blocked with a piston "lock", each wired to a button or lever that deactivates the piston, "unlocking" the chest, then somehow deactivating the other piston locks so they can't be unlocked with their corresponding buttons/levers. I'm unsure on how I would rig the wiring for that though.
They are adding admin commands but I'm pretty sure there arnt any command that could help. You could just invite people that you trust. Out up rules in the area where they spawn. Hope this helps!
You could make 1 kit per starting room. Put signs above the door so they know which room has what kit. Hook a button up to dispensers that drop the items, and make the button have a huge delay until it hits pistons that hide the dispensers and lock the iron door they used to enter the room.
