one of the greatest things about minecraft is the ability to download mods and texture-packs that add a lot of variety to the game, i understand that minecraft probably cant just open the xbox game to mods, but i would love to see the developers releasing popular mods for download as bonuses or expansion packs free or for a fair price each, for example the car mod, you could charge like $1to allow cars to be in the game, or the pokemon mod (my current favorite mod) it would take a long time to program, and get the licenses, but has the potential to make a revolutinary change in the popularity of minecraft on the 360 (i mean what pokemon fan would not want to explore a fully 3d pokemon world).
because this is on the Xbox and the nature of the average customer is not as computer savvy the user interface would have to be simple, i would like to be able to click on each world and check off what mods i want to be activated on that world,
I would humble like to suggest that we wait until the game is on 1.3 version (if ever) and then discuss mods and stuff. I think 4J studios have enough to do without thinking about mods and stuff.
4J stated that texture packs will come out some time after 1.82, but mods, they aren't sure

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.

*sigh* There's no use suggesting anything in this section.
If "mods" come to the xbox version of minecraft they will, of course, come in the form of DLC.
The chances of the Xbox getting the very same mods that are on the PC are very slim. Chances are higher that 4J will look at the popular mods and create their own.

Its funny because hes soooo right
"OP" Well I only know so much about mods and im not sure if there real mods or just a ad on to the game.
But if there a ad on why call them mods? Anyways >_> besides that If they are mods, Its not gonna be easy getting them past microsoft. Mods is something they don't like.

All add-ons are mods, but not all mods are add-ons. Add-ons add new content to a game, leaving the existing mechanics intact. Some mods do this, like everyone's favorite, the Tekkit mods. Some mods alter existing content, like inventory editors, and some do a mix of both, like texture packs. And Microsoft loves mods, as long as they're official and they can make money off of them. Map packs, expansions, skins, etc. are all mods, Microsoft just has a special name for them, DLC.
What they don't like is people having fun without paying them first. Well, I think the main reason they hate mods so much is because you have to flash your drive to run .iso's. Meaning your 360 doesn't have to read what's on the little circle in the center of the disk. That means, if you wanted, you could play bootlegged games, which Microsoft really doesn't like. Back in the days of the original Xbox, when game pirating wasn't as big of a deal, nobody was ever banned for modding. The worst that happened was the admins of the game itself would ban you from playing ranked matches.
well i can dream, honestly i think its going to happen, they CAN make money on it, i just hope its sooner and not later, honestly i would rather see cars and pixlemon then endermen and spiderwebs
