As we all know nether portals are good for fast traveling to and from spots and i built a nether portal at my house in the middle of the map and i went to the nether and when i came out (without making another portal) i appeared in the "overworld" in the bottem right corner of the map in a portal that wasn't there befor then i took 1 of the blocks off the portal (thus shutting it down) and had my freinds who was splitscreening with me go into the nether and come back out and she appeared in the over world in a fresh new portal just a few blocks from where i was. i have tried destroying those portals and the game just makes a new one in that same location and i have tried making portals in the nether with the same result. I even took down the orginal portal in the nether that i came thru and had my freind come into the nether and the game just made another portal a few blocks from there. No matter what we do the portal will only take us into 1 spot on the nether and will only take us back to 1 spot on the overworld we can't travle from portal to portal like you should be able to

Well then, that was a lot of "and".

I had to write a story the other day for my English class and I put too many "and's" In it as well. But didn't get marked down for it cuz i run that ***** obvi, but still, I can sympathize with the and's.

Anyways I can as well sympathize with the portals, Their really screwy when it comes to multiple portals and over complicated, and i definitely have been screwed over by it in the past.

Once you figure out the rules, it's easy and predictable. In short, you need to make the portals in both worlds. Destroy any that the game creates automagically. And they need to be located using the 3-to-1 math, overworld to nether world. Y is virtually unimportant. Just make sure X and Z are close to correct. (They don't have to be exact, but the closer they are to where they should go, the more reliable they will be.) That's basically it. I have 8 pairs of portals in my world, and they all connect exactly as I intended. This is doable, and not rocket science.
