New chest animation and house layout

Can any of the PC guys out there comment on how the new animation will interact with blocks stacked on half a large chest?

As it stands right now, you can still access a large chest if half of it's lid is uncovered, like in the diagram below

Does anyone know how the new chests will react in this setup?

you can all ways open chests with non full blocks on it like stairs
