Hey guys im new to the forum, and i have a question:
Yesterday i was playing minecraft and i decided to make a slime farm, so i made it 50 x 50 and 3 tall i was with my friends and we said lets kill slimes but no slimes appeared, it is 4 blocks up of the bedrock, and im worried i cant have sticky pistons
uhh no it doesnt have to be in no slime chunk... i make a slime farm on every single world and i wonly make mine about 35x35-40x40 4 blocks above bedrock 4 block high not 3 and i do it anywhere and i usually get slimes within 3-4 hours of finishing the room

Yes it does have to be in a slime chunk otherwise slimes wont spawn. The only place they spawn are in slime chunks.. Stop giving out wrong information, pointless digging is not everyones cup of tea, the rooms can be 3 high because big slimes are 2.4 high..

FayzedNZ, can a slime floor be 2 high and still spawn just small and medium slimes? I'm thinking about when Enderman are put into the game. They need 3 high to spawn. So, if we don't want Enderman (hate those guys) can we limit the vertical distance to 2 high and still be somewhat successful in getting slimes?

Yeah i believe they split upon spawning, and if your slime farms are lit up you wouldnt get enderman

dude no it doesnt! i am telling you. i have made over 100 worlds since i got minecraft on xbox and i have made a slime farm in every single world plus on all my friends worlds and i never use a slime finder or ever look for slimes first. i ALWAYS go down 4 above bedrock and just make a room and i get slimes

Wow, Mincraft has only been out on Xbox for 138 days now. You have created over 100 worlds with slime farms in every one plus built them on your friends worlds.
its very unlikely that i got a slime chunk every single world i made....
You had to have hit a slime chunk, chunks are only 16x16, enter your seeds from your worlds and you would see that where you have dug out are slime chunks. This is how they spawn, its part of the game.

Really now?
yes really. i play minecraft on xbox about 16 hours a day 5 days a week

omg dude i am telling you i REALLY doubt that i hit a slime chunk in EVERY single world i EVER made a slime farm on....
damn people stop being so stupid. you do not have to use a slime finder. look on YouTube. they will say the same thing.. just dig down. 4 blocks above bedrock 30x30-50x50 room 4-5 blocks high and they WILL spawn
