my idea instead of the idea i've seen were someone can get on while you aren't on, you could put the map up for download, downloaded maps can't earn acheivments. If someone like me builds a hunger games map but i have a horrible connection, so i can't host, i could let you download it and not make my work in vein. If you actually build the map your name is permanently saved to the map somehow so you still get the credit. sorry if someone else has already posted this.

Personally I'd like it if I could give my map to a specific person and if they edit it mine gets edited also. This is because more than 8 people live in my city want to work when I'm offline, but if I'm not online 1 of the 3 people I trust most are.

Thank you for adding this. So many people suggest some form of map sharing, and I always think, even if by some chance we can eventually, this is an absolute requirement, for me.

With or without a name attached, people will still attempt to take credit for what isn't theirs. If you are willing to share your world with others, this is a risk you are going to have to accept. This aside, I am all for 4J creating and implementing a solution that will allow sharing, this would be especially helpful for RPG servers.
Mmmm.
Fileshare sounds good.
Could other people save changes that overwrite your save or will they be separate.
This along with 4j hosted servers would be great!!
