1. Dig a shaft down very deep ( 6 to 10 levels up from bedrock worked for me ) 2. Dig that shaft out to about a 20 x 20 area 4 to 5 blocks tall. (That will take a little time I know) 3. Lighting, use torches, lava, glowstone, it does not matter, the light blocks should b 2 or 3 apart from eachother... slimes like light apperently. Easy normal or hardcore, difficulty does not matter they will spawn, some seeds it takes absolutely forever, others spawn them fairly quickly... This style of "FARM" worked well on 2 of my seeds... enough to generate about 5 stacks of 64 on each in about 48 hours

It's not that slimes like the light, the point is that other hostile mobs hate the light. With less skellies, zombies, and creepers spawning it increases the chance of slimes being chosen to spawn in a chunk.
Nope they spawn on peaceful for some reason. either that or they dont despawn when i switch from easy to peaceful I got proof too i was fixing my slime farm making it square bc i feel like its weird so i switched back to peaceful then i saw the slime spawn so.

Retired StaffYeah, that. Not sure what I was thinking, it only has to be on normal to spawn the super huge slimes.
