When i first made a clock which was the day this game came out on Xbox i thought it would be the coolest ornament but when i used LT NOTHING HAPPENED!! EFFING HANG!! But then i thought you can try hanging it on wood that didn't work so 4J should make a clock that HANGS!
I tried this as well a while back and was shocked that I couldn't hang it on a wall. Whats the point of clocks if you can't hang them on things, even placing them on tables would help.
Clocks work while in your hand and inventory, so they aren't useless. Just keep it in one slot of your action bar and you can see what time it is.

If 4J decides to pull things from the PC after 1.2.3, they might pull item frames. Item frames allow you to mount any item on the wall. Like so...

Right now, just think of it more like a pocket watch rather than a clock. I have taken mine underground with me so I can quickly check on whether it's daylight or nighttime when I decide to resurface.

Wow I never thought of that, good idea. I always wonder if its day or night when digging.

Add me if you like I play mostly COD, but I do play alot of Minecraft also.
I think it would be cool to just get a watch. It will go on your left hand and when you have nothing in your hands, you hold LT and you get to see what time it is. You could also have a stop-watch feature in it too. It would be good for survival kind of stuff. Like how long you can survive in the wilderness or something.
