So,simple questions do you think the next update will have them do you want them and are you going to switch a world to creative and fill a chest with them, then switch back? Also, any big structure plans for sponges?
P.S. yes,I realize sponges were on PC after this update and when MC was first released.
And for those of you who never played PC or watched vids:
i like sponges, because they are basicly a colored dirt, but i don't see much of a use for them building wise.. but they remind me of chocolate chip cookie dough haha.

I don't see any reason why we won't be getting them. They're great to clear large quantities of water. One sponge being able to erase the water in a 5x5x5 area.

That was only in classic now there just decoration.
I have no intention to use sponges but it wouldn't suprise me if some servers spawn a specific amount of sponges as a sort of currency. I've seen it done on PC servers before.

its actually a shame theres no helpful way to get them in survival as they have little use but would be quite handy to use as scaffold for this, and a lot less annoying than using dirt if i am building with dirt at the time
