I extremely hate the look of Blocks of Iron in skyscrapers! The black margins on the edges make builds with it used in large amounts very unattractive. Instead, I use colored wool (which is very easy to collect in both game modes).
Say i am building a replica of Disneyland. i want to do the brick floors like the outside of the parks before you go inside the park. So basiclly, i scout the world, collect every piece of clay in the world. cook it and begin building. i get half way done with the floors and im out of bricks. and i got every clay from the world. Now do i just do some half ass job and do the rest in cobblestone? or do i duplicate bricks so i can finish what i started. It makes perfect since. duplication can be used in good ways.
Not to sure about the working fathers comment, if it was aimed at me then no, I am not a father because we are trying like hell to hold off and wait until we are out of college and working the "good" jobs, barring any accidents. Working? I fix motorcycles, do some light custom fabrication, etc, work on cars all that out of my own garage. I will say it is good to see someone jump on with a sense of civility. Thank you.
And to the other guy, yea, I was being a **** about it, but your messages haven't come through as totally kind hearted either, so deal with it. Mmmmk? And not all of us seek shortcuts in life. Even comparing life to MineCraft is a pretty big stretch. Shortcuts in life though? Take all you want. I've seen and been told by many old timers who have learned different. If ANYTHING is worth 10 minutes of your time, then it is worth another ten minutes to make sure it is done right. Something I think about every time I weld up a hard tail and wonder about welds giving out and dumping a rider at highway speed.
As far as minecraft goes, go ahead, dupe, mod, whatever you wish. In the end, what you have is still pretty much worthless in every sense. Spending fractions of time on it is about as good as spray-painting an entire model car and calling it done
Short answer: Its just personal preference, some people love the feeling of accomplishment that comes with taking the time to gather every material and some don't, they prefer bypassing the hours and hours of mining/gathering so they can get right to the building and designing in order to test their skill and imagination.
Whether or not you feel like someone's work is worthless because they duped is your own opinion.
Although I do agree that other person overreacted to you placing a few blocks, which doesn't really count as griefing in my opinion... but yeah, saying that they're playing game incorrectly really isn't fair since we all have different gaming styles...oh and if the makers of this game didn't want people to skip mining and go straight to building they wouldn't have added Creative Mode.
P.S. An even greater man said "Don't work hard, work smart"
Ok, looks like nobody's going to break it to you so it looks like it's going to be me. I'm a nice
guy, and always have something positive to say on these forums. Maybe a lot of people don't
agree with what you did, that's fine. Just accept the fact that your actions triggered people to
get angry with you and stop making an ass of yourself.
But why? Making these whiny children angry over something that's not even theirs has become kind of a blast! I mean, if theyre going to be that damn sensitive about it, then it's their loss haha

yeah i love colored wool, haha. i just built a new 1 a few days ago. its very nice mix of brown and grew wool. How do you like it?
I once had a couple people invite me to their party and ask if I wanted creative mode.
I assumed they were just gonna come on and try ruining my hard work so I refused could there be a connection?
Have some people hacked to get creative mode?
How do I make faces? Like this? :-) :-(

well, there isnt a way to hack creative mode in, but there are programs to mod, but they just bring in items, not unlimited, so there isnt a creative mode hack that we know of.

oohh cars, haha. besides the duping stuff, we would probly get along great. i collect hot wheels, over 500 packaged on my walls haha.
But i do like how you ignored my post about the bricks, which really has a strong point of duping and why it can be used for good
Unrelated, and I am sure the guy that said that still didn't want a half-assed job upon completion
If you've the option to cut out hours of mindless mining/gathering and devote more time to designing and building before you lose interest in a certain idea why would you opt for taking the time to mine/gather? No reason for it, other than personal preference.
also how would it be half assed? the quality of a piece isn't affected by the means in which you gathered the material (at least not in minecraft)
yeah i love colored wool, haha. i just built a new 1 a few days ago. its very nice mix of brown and grew wool. How do you like it?
It is better than what I see most of the time. However, I am not a supporter of the skyscraper windows acting as walls and the strange formation it has to perfectly fit each different room size. Also, from what I can see, there is not much interior decoration or floor patterns, but I guess you are not completely finished yet.

You still do not understand; show some empathy. Although you may believe that using the duplication glitch or Creative Mode makes the build incomplete, others view it as a way of saving more time for their life and not video games.
I really see no problem with duping.
If you want to make something that looks amazing but don't have the time to gather the resources that's fine by me.
If you want to feel the reward of building a something amazing 100% legit that's fine by me also.
Just don't make other people suffer because of your beliefs.
More feces :,( :$ and yes I did write feces on purpose

Didn't ignore it, I just type slow and the posts are coming in fast, pages jumping back and forth etc.
And yea, something like that, I can see, but just making the whole thing, 100% from dupe and MOD, which is the bigger problem I had, is doing it without at least putting in SOME effort. Another hobby of mine is wood working, I do custom....well, pretty much everything, and I also do hand wood-burning, anything that someone wants. That being said, I'd rather make my own furniture and such than go buy from IKEA and tell everyone I built it, and it was such hard work!
Cars? Hehe I only have about 150 Hot Wheels, but several thousand dollars between a small handful of hobby R/C vehicles, not to mention a couple of street bikes in the garage for me and her.
And FFS people quit bringing up creative mode for a discussion about something on a platform that doesn't even have it!

nice, Me and my dad used to do Rc cars, but havent done it in a while haha. Fun stuff. Slot cars too. Fun.
The most suprising part tho is my wife is into all the same stuff, so we have everything in pairs haha We both race RC, ride bikes, shoot guns, archery, she even wants me to take her bow hunting this year

aha, thats good and bad. Good, that she gets along like that, makes her easy to keep happy, but bad when you want the chance to get some time off, its kinda hard when you cant pick something she wouldn't like to do that your into.
And she had many things on the map that were just simply "placed" as well, not built
At this point you're lying, and have no clue what you're talking about. There are no mods yet for the 360 that let you place pre-built objects. It seems like you're just some guy who's too bored with his own life, so he has to go start fights on the internet. You should've known all that could come out of your little "holier than though" anti-duping bit would be an argument, but you did it anyway.
I would call you something that starts with T and rhymes with bowl, but the totally logical forum rules don't allow that.
That's fine with me, honestly a good girl and a joy to be around as often as possible, feeling is mutual, plus, she is pretty damn easy on the eyes haha Can't underestimate her tho, I have a pistol grip Rem 870 and she fires it all day without flinching at the range, girls a hella good shot too haha She can't quite rifle shoot targets past 400 yards yet, but everything else we do she nails on the head, She even gets into minecraft, and has no qualms about mindlessly digging out this giant hole the castle is going in. Then again, a little green and some 15's is all you need to zone out on it

Your sig reminded me of something i thought of a few days ago. but sadley, i forgot what it was.. it had to do with coloring something.
