No. Those were added in 1.9 and I doubt 4J would pull something so small forward. If they were, they'd be in the picture with vines, sugar cane, saplings, etc.
If you look at one of the videos 4J posted, the tutorial world has the dark grass and I'm not sure about swampy water.
The tutorial world is in a Mountain Biome, from what I've seen in the videos. Swamps won't be finished entirely until 1.2.3, where they have lilipads, grass, and a proper grass transition.

In 1.8 Swamps never even had their dark grass, dark leaves or swampy water. They were just like a forest biome, cept the trees had vines.
If you look at the newest video they posted, there is a swamp biome right next to the ravine. It does not have the dark leaves or dark grass.
