I got Minecraft for my Xbox 360 not long ago. I have been enjoying it but have been having slight problems. My Xbox 360 has been freezing quite often when I would play it. I haven't noticed freezing very often in other games, but when I would try to navigate the Xbox 360 store, it would also freeze a few times. My question is, is it common for Minecraft for Xbox 360 to completely freeze the system, making me have the turn off the console by pushing the button on the front of the console? I am thinking it is a hardware problem making the game freeze. I'm not for sure though.
I have an older XBox and it has only frozen once in about 3 months since I bought the game. Periodically, I have had bouts of lag, but most of the time the game runs quite smoothly. However, I am playing 99% of the time without the XBox being connected to the internet.
You might try checking your connections, including your connection to the internet and then perhaps even try deleting and re-downloading the game (you should be able to do this without paying for it again). It may just be that your original download didn't go smoothly.
It could also just be some issues developing with your XBox. Realistically, these old machines are not going to last forever (although I'm sort of hoping that mine makes it to see the new 720s come out).
Thanks! But I have tried redownloading the game several times and I am still having the problem. Also had the problem playing offline. I am getting a 250 GB Xbox 360 most likely in the future. I am currently using a 4 GB Xbox 360 that is practically new. The Slim model is the one I was using.
