Haven't seen anyone post this on the forums yet, but I may be mistaken.
Here's the newest video from 4JStudios, showing off the new structures coming to Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition!!
(I don't know how to embed the video, but I'll leave the URL)
I knew about the new structures coming in the update, but this video was posted not even a hour ago. I was searching for about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to embed the video to post it on here.
it's a fine video. Don't let folks razz you about it being so 42 seconds ago. That kind of dickishness belies somebody who has nothing better to do than to constantly refresh twitter and youtube for the latest news.
What I notice from the video:
who just jumps down into deep chasms with little concern for getting hurt or getting out?
Torch placement is sub-optimal when you place it on the side of something that obstructs it from lighting in both directions. Set torches on the wall so it casts light in a 180 degree arc both directions down the corridor. You'll get more light that way.

Well i am definitely guilty of the second thing... Although i usually intend to survive the fall, but hey if you don't take chances then how do you explore. Each to their own prospect. Of course i don't usually take all that stuff with me when doing something like that, and sometimes i am on peaceful sooo it kinda a double edge sword in that manor.
I think of it as trying to start off below ground where i usually would built a base anyhow, if no mountains are not nearby. Easier to start anew when doing something like that as what i usually intend. Like having a secondary base and then attempt to try and connect each and every one of them. makes for getting ideas that i accidentally or purposefully create in my own head.
Anyway I like the new trailer and much of what i wanted to see, although i dread the thought of having that much ravine in what ever new map i would start. that looked like 3 ravines in one...O_o
And this means and confirms that yes there are no villagers... i guess using those Non-NPC people i saw someone use in one their designs more feasible till they do start spawning...:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
who just jumps down into deep chasms with little concern for getting hurt...
Well, there's regenerative health. As long as you have your hunger bar filled up, it doesn't really matter if you get down to one heart. It just goes back up again.

But normally, I would make a stairway down (so I can get back up and go home). I play more cautiously and frugally. I also don't die that often. Heck, I don't even carry weapons.
I don't think he was on peaceful because he fights a zombie later on in the video.
Chests don't always spawn in Blacksmiths.
When you compare how fast his health re-generated after falling off that, to how much slower it went up after he fought the zombie you'll see what I mean. He surely looked to be on peaceful. Not to mention, there was no mobs in the really dark spots of that ravine.

hes not on peaceful, yes i could see the heart regenerated but when the hunger bar is full the health regenerate. might be im right or you right.
Nice. I believe that is a new sound effect when he falls down.
Also, how is his health regenerating if its on Easy or the other ones.?
Well, he was probably on Peaceful, but overall in 1.8, a full hunger bar allows your health to regenerate. So, as long as your character isn't hungry, your health comes back when you take damage.

With hunger, as long as it's full, you'll heal in no time.

Not to mention, he was on peaceful. His heath re-generated to fast for it to be natural.
