Do you incorporate a signature into your builds? For example, do you have a certain block you like to incorporate in a certain way that you feel is unique to you? Do you build your structures in a certain form or style that you feel is unique to you?
I think I have a signature in my builds because I always tend to design things to be as practical as possible. For example, when I build my house I build it so that I can expand it very easily to accommodate rooms of various purposes. It starts out as somewhat of a rounded square (if that makes any sense lol) and I make it so that each wall has an exact center so I can either make pods or hallways branch off. It's definitely no beautiful, elaborate mansion or castle, but there's something about it that, to me, doesn't look too bad at all. It's meant to be my base, so it looks more like a base than a beautiful home. The residential areas I design actually look and feel a lot more like homes. I hope I'm explaining this well haha.
Anyway, please share your building signatures if you have them. I'm sure there are some interesting ones out there. Just thought I'd create a topic that isn't about the next update. It might feel refreshing for those annoyed with the update threads.
Yeah i do signatures. Sometimes when i build i need to have wood on corners or stone because otherwise it looks like ****. Sometimes i make a room which while making that room i morph it in a way that i can expand it later on if needed.
I only do redstone stuff, so I'm not sure if this counts.
I used to do the whole color coding thing, with wool, separating the build in sections according to functionality. Any more, I only use iron blocks, I guess you could say it's my signature building block now. I just find it a lot easier to use one type of block, than switching between different colors all the time.
Well for me its a stone and sandstone walkway. I feel like every building needs to be connected by a walkway ( in an ocd way ), and i really like how the stone and sandstone contrast. Its usually a stone center with sandstone on the outsides.
Most of the things I build I try to make them large enough to show up on the map. I noticed that with my first thing on Minecraft. It was a 50x50 hole that went to bedrack, it looked like a giant grey square in the middle of the dessert.
Mine would probably be bushes - a buried tree trunk with only the leaves visible. Everything I build gets attention to the outside, I hate barren landscapes.

That's an excellent idea for bushes. I always wanted to make them for landscaping around homes or parks, but I never thought of hiding the log by burying it.
