You see, my person that I use in Minecraft seems to get, pushed by nothing at random times.
Ill be building things, and my person begins to slide back, not fast, but its like I'm either being pushed or pulled back. It gets annoying especially in the nether *Has fallen into the lava because of it"
Is this some kind of glitch? I know it isn't my controller, I've watched my person be pushed even when I wasn't touching anything. I'm kind of curious because its hard to build things when this happens.
For some stupid reason, the Xbox does not calibrate the analog sticks' center positions on power up like a PC does. If a stick's pan pots drift with age, the stick's output will go off center, and you'll have to deal with it. I've replaced 2 controllers because of it. One drifted forward, and the other to one side. I use them on the PC now. The drivers there compensate for the drift, the way the Xbox's should.
next xbox should have a recalibration type thing for controllers, or their new controllers should have an option to tighten and fix the analog sticks when they start getting loose. that would be great
Yeah, the only time I get pushed is by a piggy or a sheep. When you hear and oink oink, or a baaahhhh, behind you while building or whatever and it's pushing you, kinda gets annoying, but I guess that's there way to love up to you? xD
Try resetting all your options to the default. Then just change them to the way you want them.

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.

1) Sometimes animals will come up and bump into me, giving me a little push and then spin around and leave. The chickens are particularly quick and they are small, so often I don't really see them when I've been concentrating on placing blocks.
2) Sometimes when I think I've released the stick, a slow continuous motion keeps going (drifting). Some of it is likely due to wear and tear on the controller. However, for me, it can happen in any direction and doesn't tend to happen in other games, so I don't think it's worth replacing my controller just yet. The drift does stop if I make just a little effort to move the stick a little again in the opposite direction to my original motion, so stopping forward motion involvesa slight flick backward when I want to stop. I fiddled with the sensitivity settings and I did improve it a little bit. I do think the game's lag issues also contribute to the problem though.
