This is my 1st post on the forum
I sure hope they put Breeding in it seems that leaving enchanting out could have been to free up time for breeding.
I never played of version but I've seen videos and I'm convinced that I want to make a farm.
One thing I am concerned about is newly generated structures will I have to make a new Map? or will the maps be made bigger and keep generating?
If they can make existing maps bigger then I want them at least four times bigger which should leave enough room for my farms.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.
If breeding does not get added, the only way to get colored wool easily would be Creative Mode. I mean, my patience is running out. It's already been five months without much color!

Not really. In my main world, I have two double chests full of every colour that can be created. The trick is to just walk with shears in your inventory all the time. The wool stacks up in no time.

Why, i have plenty of coloured wool most of the dyes dont take that much to take.
imagine you run out of pigs+cows in your world ... theres no way to get them back .. and unlike pc we can;t just go exploring to completly new "maps" ((as in the map you hold runs ouT))
so breedin would be logical for the xbox otherwise people would complain like mad i know i woould
Actually they have said they do still respawn, just slowly so you wouldnt totally run out.
well as animals become persistent with the update thus corralling them so you have them all nice and contained makes sense, so i dont see how the corralling precludes breeding being present or not to be honest.
Animals become the opposite, they become rare. In the PC edition, they made it
to where if the animals die in your world, then there's no more animals. However, 4J said
they were going to make it where they will respawn in your worlds. So we're either going
to have breeding or this.

When i am less busy I will go and find the tweet but it was said that the respawn existed anyway with the persistence.

Not true. Animals respawn on the PC. It just takes a really long time. 4J is doing the same thing apparently.
No, they really haven't said much of anything about it.
Yes, they have. The fact that you haven't read what they've said about it, Cyrus, doesn't mean that the info isn't out there...
4J Studios has confirmed there will NOT be breeding in patch 1.8.2, and here is the proof: https://twitter.com/...085486625959936. Breeding will become available in patch 1.2.3.

I was like all of you, hoping for breeding in this update when I saw the video, but theres an easy way to answer it, did the video show any baby animals? no, theres the answer.

I usually walk around with shears too, but I have only filled a chest. Modern cities need an unlimited supply of grey and black.

In a single foray away from my 'home' I usually come back with over 100 wool, so if you need a particular colour it doesnnt take too much to go out with that dye and dye the sheep before you shear them.
4J released a video and screenshot some time ago of chickens inside
a large pin. While some people thought this lead to breeding, people soon
discovered that that the player could've easily thrown eggs all over the
place.
However, 4J's recently released video shows cows and pigs in a big pin
together. Note: 4J has not confirmed breeding, but I have a pretty good
feeling breeding will be in 1.8.2.
Feel free to discuss your opinions on breeding this early.

I can imbue as many sheep as I want, but I would still have to collect an Ink Sac and Bone Meal for every 2-4 pieces. Breeding seems like an overall method of collecting that is more efficient and abundant.

Well yeah but its not that much harder, Squids are hardly difficult to kill and bone is a dime a dozen if you have a mob grinder

I found this link easily in this thread: http://www.minecraft...pdated-9172012/
Thats a three month old tweet, things change.

A big "pen" not pin
Also, breeding would be fun, good post.
So, from experience - how long is a "really long time"?
