Can somebody please explain this to me, or just give me a link to 4J support?

Now I know many of you don't really care about leaderboards, but my friends and I do like to compete on things. So I spent my time on minecraft climbing the ladder and I reached the top of the list against a my friends on easy! (I played a world on peaceful, then easy, and once this world gets boring I will start a new one and play normal, and so on). Anyways, all I had left to do to be #1 on all the Easy leader boards(kills, blocks mined, etc) was to kill a few more mobs than my friend had. So I went into my world and killed a bunch of mobs, enough to be ranked #1. Then I saved and checked the leaderboards.

I was not impressed with what I saw.

My easy leaderboard ranking for mining blocks had gone from 10000+ stone blocks to around 300, and the same thing happened to all of my stats except farming. So all my work that I had done to climb the leaderboard ladder has all been for nothing.

I was hoping somebody could explain to me why this happened, of there is a way to fix it, or if they can't just give me a way to contact Minecraft Xbox 360 Support. Thank you for your time!

Sigh. You need to contact 4J studios, either through here or twitter. Sadly, its a matter of a fatally broken leaderboard system. Im afraid the best you can hope for is that they fix it in the next update so that you wont lose anymore of your hard earned progress climbing back up the ladder. You have my sympathies. I too was/am the best among all my friends, however now the leaderboards no longer reflect that

Aw rats, oh well. I guess I'll just have to take quiet pride in knowing I was at the top at some point in time. I'm sorry to hear you were a victim of it too Thank you for answering my question though. +rep for a detailed answer

leaderboards are beyond broken and using them for a competition is a bad idea because of it. What 4J should do is scrap leaderboards all together and add a stats page.

You're absolutely right. Now, I'm not saying they should stop working on that update because I can't wait! But at least get one department working on it, or just work on it after we're caught up with PC.

This did happen to me with my like..1700 slime kills. It dropped to 0. But then 12 hours later..? It magically jumped back to its original amount. So with hope, your stuff could reset to its previous values.
