Hey guys! I would like to show you once and for all, My RPG world, Eastwood. I always seem to talk a big game about it and would love to hear your opinions on it! (Yes, I mean critism opinions too)
Here is a basic birds eye view of my walled off city, picture taken from the cities diving board
This is the Town square (Main trading hub, and welcome center)
The towns farm and tree farm on the right, and apartments on the left.
Another birds eye view of my city from my private top hill house.
Some living houses, taken on top of a bridge over a pond
Fountains on the right near the main street. The building on the left is a home decoration shop, and on the right is the town square. The building in the middle if one of the homes as seen in the picture above.
All building were made by me and me solely, but multiple players play on this world.
If you liked my world, please hit that Green arrow (:
p.s I'll post more pictures depending on feedback, and if you guys ask.
-Edit- Here's some extra photos from the inside of the Town center. The board in the middle goes over general rules and how to not **** everyone off, Nothing to complicated, just don't steal and wonder into people houses, those type of rules. It also goes over the general prices for the main resources and goods.
And from the other side.
The second floor isn't much. Theirs just another shop up their, and uses the top of that Notice board as a storage area.
I like cobble, but I do have to say that this is a lot of it in one place. My only suggestion would be to break up the consistency of the cobble with other types of building materials.
And, some more live things like bushes and trees would really fit in nicely.
(PS...would love a walk around tour sometime.)

I am a Minecraft tourist. I am currently unavailable under the XBoxLIVE ID listed here but can be found under ZombieL0C0. If you see me online playing Minecraft, send a message and I will gladly take a stroll through your world.
You should try and use a variety of blocks, instead of just using just cobblestone. You could try using gravel as a pathway, as that's a highly used block for paths on servers. Other then that, I believe that the city looks quite nice
I saw in the picture description that you said you had a little shop up there, if you want i can set you up a fancy trading system where you toss currency into a slot and then it will reveal a chest so you can take what you need. And don't worry i wont grief you, I've actually been grief'd myself, the guy took 26 diamonds, a few pieces of obsidian and a stack of bones.

Hm, Sounds quite interested.
But, if that's a way to prevent stealing (I dont think it is. (Just fancy, right?)) Couldn't you just put any block you wanted to in their, and not just Paper, thus revealing the chest anyways?
& nah I can trust you, I have a good idea of who I can and shouldn't trust on these forums.
Btw, in the second picture of showing the interior of the town square, to the left of the notice board, theirs also a shop right there. So a grand total of two shops in there.

yea, it's mostly just for looks. there is a more advance way of doing it where you can only activate it with sand or gravel, but again there is still the problem that people can just take what they want. Also did you mean to say "nah i can't trust you" because that's what it sounded like. regardless, keep updating the map and posting screen shots, your map seems pretty cool but one thing i would suggest is lay of the cobblestone a bit, try making some wood structure, and just using different materials in general.
I suggest adding some buildings that are not your everyday cobble/wooden plank/wood block generic buildings, to break up that overdone cobble look. Other than that, it has too much Cobble for my liking.
The only thing i should say right now is that it lacks variation, theres tons of different building materials but it seems like youve neglected most of them by only using cobble(stone), which makes the whole place look ugly.
However i wouldnt change any of that, id just create a whole new world...
But dont let these comments get you down, everyone has to start somewhere, listen to critisism and learn from your mistakes so that you give yourself the ability to improve
Hmm lets see here, Completely start a new world and loose all of my progress thus far, or do a simple renovating job. Lol no way I'm restarting with this world, even after 1.8.
Besides, you guys are forgetting it's an RPG world, so as long as everything serves it purpose I suppose, and keep the world turning, then it works for me.
I will definitely be doing a big renovation job with adding in wood though, then I'll post updated pictures.
I like it
your right about the RP thing
realistically in a situation when you start someone with nothing you arnt going to be thinking about what will look the prettiest.
your thinking about what will protect the most space from mobs and bad guys!
and what will be the most useful
easy to repair
why should everything be about architecture?

It looks nice Btw.
Haha, yeah I do suppose that is quite Ironic
But yeah, thanks man.

I sure can! (: (Put it in the main description)
Ah, Yes you may! Snipe me a friend request ( In my description under my avatar) and I'll get back to you next time I'm on.
- -3: built entirely of Cobblestone and Stone
- -1: small buildings
- -1: square buildings
- -2: overall bad attempt at Middle Ages architecture
3/10.I hope you enjoyed my review!
Almost* entirely out of Cobblestone
I appreciate the honesty though.
-I'm definitely getting a big vibe of washing out the cobblestone with a bit of wood here and there and I will definitely keep that in mind.
-Square buildings is kind of a difficult habit to break for me. But I'll try my next build!
Indeed.

What? It wasn't intentionally named after him. Go die because I posted my world on here and I named it eastwood? Boy, your a real joy.
