I don't always need help on Minecraft, but this doesn't have a lot to do with the game.
It has to do with the horrible, detrimental glitch I discovered.
I left my world and came back with nothing but a map. I was all the way at original spawn as
well. I knew about this glitch already, yet I didn't know I would encounter it. I also know that 4J
is fixing this glitch in the famous upcoming update know as '1.8'.
I immediately left my world when I discovered what happened.
My Question:
If I leave my world alone until they fix this, will I have my equipment that I had before the glitch happened? I kept thinking 'No', but I had a lot of legit diamond tools and a golden chest plate. I had various other tools, food, and non renewable
resources such as glowstone. I have no where else to turn, If somebody knows
the answer and told me, I would be very grateful.
Unfortunately, I don't think you will get your items back when they fix it. I assume what happens is the bug just deletes your items and the location you are supposed to return to, which means they are gone for good. It could be possible, but I don't want to give false hope.
You could live in hope I suppose; but I don't think it is likely. Really, we don't even know for sure that 4J have isolated the problem and truly fixed it yet. Hopefully that will be the case though.
One person reported on the forums some time ago that the glitch went away when they took their XBox completely offline and played it that way. I thought they said that the glitch also didn't return when they went back to online; but I could be mistaken about that. It would be worth a try. (NOTE: I'm not talking about modding or clearing the file, just taking the box itself offline for a bit.) Good luck!
It didn't work. Gonna just have to wait and hope I guess. If it's still
not fixed, I'm just going to have to work for all my stuff back again.
Thanks for getting back to me on it. Too bad, I really thought that poster might have been onto something. I was hit with it once before I went offline and just went about playing afterward; but remembering to put everything in a chest each time I exit. I haven't had my spawn mess up though since I've gone offline (knock on wood), so I thought maybe the glitch was indeed somehow connected to the internet connection (perhaps an interruption while the system was saving the player data).
Hopefully, they do have a fix for it and you'll get your stuff back.

Just curious. Did it help? or are you having to wait and hope?
