Is there a chance that the redstone bugs will be fixed with the next update? I made some pretty cool things with redstone about a week ago and they have been working perfectly. I haven't play since until today, and now they all don't work for some reason. This isn't the first time this has happened to me either. In fact, it happens quite often. It doesn't help that when I show some of my friends the things I made, the redstone doesn't work and I seem like an idiot or something. Bugs like this really push me away from the game. I was creating an awesome world, and the fact that the redstone isn't working is making me not want to play it at all anymore.
When the update comes out, I'm going to start a new world. Unless redstone is fixed by then, I'm done with it forever. It has ruined several worlds for me and it's far too unreliable. It make you feel good that you did something cool when it is working, but then it decides to make a fool out of you. The feeling you get when your cool creation is broken is crushing.
It probably won't be fixed in the next update. I don't remember when it was that update detection was fixed for repeaters/torches on the PC version, but I think that has a lot to do with it. Just fix the bug and use your contraption until it breaks again. My creations are rendered useless all the time, it doesn't really bug me though, I just enjoy the act of building them.
It don't bother me, for my doors, I just break the pressure plate and re-put them back down, it works then, my light house. I just break the line and then fix the line then it starts working. I don't do much with redstone anyways.
