How does one transport Slimes around a corner? I have a slime farm with a channel that runs off one of the corners, & that goes to my grinder, then a collection point. Problem is, the Slimes get stuck on the first corner.
So, how does one transport Slimes around a corner?
Um, why do you have a corner? If you're trying to build a mob grinder-esque contraption to collect slimes, then why not just build a standard mob grinder, plus light and in the correct area?
make the tunnel bigger they should be able to go trough it following you
Yeah, not an option. Nor is it efficient. I don't want to be running down into my Slime farm every 30 minutes to tease them so they'll go to a collection area.

Why does anything have a corner? I have a corner because I need the slimes to double back around to the grinder & collection area.

Again, a standard mob grinder doesn't have corners (to turn through, anyway). There should be channels moving the mob into a collecting area in the center of the room, where they'll drop a little before heading off to be killed by lava/cacti/whatever. No corners.
I never built one for slimes, always hunting them by hand, but I don't see why this wouldn't work for slimes as well as other mobs.

WTF?! Sorry, but you obviously have no idea what I'm talking about.
I have a room. Within that room is a 34x16 spawn pad which Slimes spawn on. Around the ouside of that pad is a 3 block wide channel. In this channel is a series of water currents that take the slimes to one corner of the room. When they reach the this corner of the room they enter another channel. This channel that takes them to a slime drowner. Problem is that since the channel that runs around the spawn pad is at level 6, The channel that takes them to the drowner needs to go up 8 blocks. I could make the channel go up 8 blocks in a straight line, but then the drowner/collection area would be too far away from where I need it. So, I need it to do a U-turn In order to cut the distance in half.
I know exactly what you're talking about Box, I have many corners in mine for them to travel to a collection point. The simple answer is "Good use of water" Now that can be hard. A question though, how come you dont have your drowner on the same level as your channel and then from there have your currents travel the small slimes to collection? (it would be better if I had a visual to work with, feel free to PM me box)

Thanks Fayzed. I was an Idiot an made the channels at level 6.(1 above bedrock)
I done this because I was/am going to put another spawn pad above it. But, by the time I do that 1.8 will be out & the max spawn level for slimes will have changed to 40. I'll grab some pictures now.
EDIT: I think I may have solved the problem. Seems I had my currents wrong. I will however keep an eye out. If it seems to go wrong, I'll reply.

Yeah I got the level 6 part, but you can have your drowner on the same level with use of signs and have your 1 drop air block for small slimes to travel into (which would be on bedrock)
Edit: Sweet box, goodluck
Forgot to say this yesterday box, slimes wont be spawning in layers 0-40 in the next update. They didnt change that until 1.0 official
