Lets think about this. 4J Studios are doing there best to give us the best quality gaming experience for the Minecraft 360 Edition. Though the updates are taking a while and by the looks of it 1.8 will be coming out late September or near the beginning of November. They said after the 1.8 update that they will be considering releasing a update before 1.2. 1.2 will probably be coming out December or January. And if we get a update between 1.8 and 1.2 it will probably be released November or The beginning of December. Well, 1.2.3 has more features then the previous updates, and if we wait for 1.2.3, then we'll get all of the good stuff in one package. But if we wait for the update in between we'll get some of the features we want but we'll have to wait longer for 1.2.3 that has all of them.
Lets bring this to the community.
Would you wait for 1.2.3? Why or Why not?
Do you want a update in between, possibly 1.0?

There considering this. They did not confirm anything about releasing a update in between

I'd much rather wait until the full 1.2.3 update to come out. That way I can make a world and not miss out on any features such as jungle biomes, villages, and etc. For now creative mode will most likely keep me busy until then. To be honest enchanting and breeding isn't really that big of a deal for me, since I'm a builder and we're also getting spawn eggs in 1.2.3!

You do make a valid point... Although to be honest, 1.2 didn't provide much content for me. The only thing I'd be missing if they released 1.0(or 1.1) would be jungles, ocelots, and breeding (And breeding wouldn't even be all that useful unless you want to make a cheaty golem farm). Everything else, I would be able to craft or recreate easily once the 1.2 update comes out. And I think I would be willing, and would actually prefer to play without those features. I've always found jungle biomes so cluttered. I'd much rather have other features such as nether fortresses, enchanting, brewing, and the End than I would anything else.
Either way, I'll be supportive of whatever 4j decides to do.
It's pure speculation that the 1.2.3 update will be in December-January. Considering everything that they're adding, I think that is a very generous guess as to when.
Personally, I would like to alternate: Give me a big chunk of update-awesomess, then give me smaller updates that refine the game. And I'm not talking bug fixes here.

Isn't this more about what the community would prefer?
Great thread by the way I hope I doesn't get buried like most good posts with polls.

It's better to wait for a game like this. I mean really if you are bored waiting for the 1.8 (I mean really it's been less than 3 months are we all really that impatient?) then maybe minecraft isn't the game for you. I recommend you go play call of duty that franchise has a new game/map pack every five minutes.
I believe complaining/rushing developers just gets you an inferior product in the end. Look at Mass Effect 3 the fans complained about it's release until they got it and look how the ending turned out. They complained about that and got an extended cut in the making which they complained was taking too long so the extended cut didn't change much of the ending at all.
I guess thats the problem with society these days though. Everything has to be right now and no one can wait for quality anymore.
