reading between the lines suggests that the major impediment is the fact that MCXBLA runs both a server process and a client process simultaneously. IF they ever do approve and open rent-a-server capacity (see the stickied tweet thread) then larger worlds would be possible because world management would be handled by the server process on a full-fledged computer rather than the xBox.
Chickens are the worst example for breeding. They lay eggs which can then hatch chickens, which has been in the game since it was released (X360 not PC). Seeing as how animals no longer despawn in 1.8, those chickens in the pen could have been captured there and used to lay eggs.

So if they go to you have two choices, rent a server or continue playing with the curent servers, everyone who doesn't rent a server would be screwed and still have the 864x864 worlds.... Sounds like a great business idea.
They need to find a way to do it for everyone, or no one.

I meant Grass Block, like this one..
It's just that it's color is messed up in that screenshot for some reason. The screenshot is in Creative Mode which is why it's in the inventory. Just for some reason, the brown of the dirt looks green. It was hard to tell what it was without zooming in.

Ah yes....are we getting fence gates in this update? So much been discussed, I can't remember if it was or not. I like what I've seen so far!

What might that be in the 6th slot of his inventory? To me it looks like a GRASS BLOCK. Either 4j uses mods on their own game or silk touch.
