I am building a box that going to span the entire map 4 sides and both the bottom and top, this is something im doing up until the next update, but anyway never mind that. And building frame and looking about at the highest peak looking at the scenery and looking far across the boarder, and seeing that there is water that rendered and just placed out of the boarder with no apparent reasoning for being there, other than to make it presentable and so there is something there, and there is also clouds that pass through the board and go off into the distance. And seeing how the blocks are created, the way i see it (from a players view, not a programmer or game designer of any sort) the blocks dont look to complex, how hard is it to actually render a single block in the look that minecraft has. And wouldnt the developers have to create render and place all the water blocks that arent able to be touched? It seems weird that there is just water that is there that just goes on and on, i kind of want to go in that water, is it really tht difficult?
The only thing coded to be out there is a block similar to a block called "Void block" which is like the void, it does nothing and only serves a purpose of not being able to go into, the only reason you can go into the void below bedrock is because of gravity and glitches. In 1.8 this all changes. The "void block" only serves as a background. The reason it goes on and on is because there is nothing that can generate out there.
