Hello there let me tell you something.I hear a lot of people bashing the tutorail. So I decided to play on the thing for a few weeks. What are my findings you ask well let me tell you them in a nice little pros and cons list.
Lets start with the pros
The mineing its plain great first time I went down for 1 hour hahaha came up with 30 gold, 6 diamonds, and 64 iron.
Good amount of biomes there is a snow, oak forest, plain, and a tundra biome
There are allready genorated structures thats awsome.
Plenty of flat lands.
Well lets hear the cons
This is to you explorers out there not that much in terrain....sorry.
There are allready genorated structures some people dont like.
Some people think its to easy.
Well thats it.The final ruleing its very good I like it realy I love it thats my opion what do you think.
I think the tutorial is phenomenal, especially for beginners, but it has its downsides. I loved the tutorial world as a beginner, but now I find it too easy and I would like to build my own structures. On the other hand, I do like the generated structures and the world overall. I will most likely play it again at some point.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was tweaked in the 1.8.2 update.

I just saw a screen shot of 1.8.1 from tutrail they changed it.

Here's where I stand on this... Is it a good idea to have the tutorial? Yes. Great idea. Helps new people learn the ropes and get a hold of things. But, do I think that they should be adding new stuff to it? No. Adding new "easter eggs" to the tutorial is simply a waste of time that could be spent working on updates. It's like the story mode getting new missions in CoD.

I agree with you about the easter eggs, but I believe they should still add new content to the tutorial so that they can keep it up to date with the rest of the game. For example, I think they need to add some of the new blocks to the generated tutorial world. I also think they need to add enchanting, potion brewing, and breeding tutorials when those updates come.
Easter eggs don't need to be added as much (or at all, really), but I don't think adding to the tutorial is a waste of time.
I think its great that they add new stuff to it.Its cool to go hunting for new stuff.I think they should add a stronghold that has a little tutorail to it.

I actually love the Tutorial seed... not just in it's "pre-made" format, either... playing it as Seed "1171544198849424676" takes you to the pre-4J Steve version... with all the same Dungeons, ores, and material locations (I should know, I've played on all three versions of this world, for extended periods of time). I've found (with the help of some Game FAQers and members of other communities) a total of eighteen Dungeons on this map, and over a stack and change worth of Diamonds... and no shortage of Coal, Iron, and Gold.
It's a really resource rich Seed, and has pretty much all the features I look for on a Seed... flatlands... snowy biomes... desert... and some nice ocean space, for any underwater projects I might have. Add to it that the cave systems on the Tutorial Seed are insanely clustered and sprawl out across several chunks, and you've got a LOT to explore.
As for not adding new Easter Eggs to the map... come on, that's part of the fun! I like finding things hidden quietly in a map that I thought I knew like the back of my hand. It's always nice to find a secret area you never even noticed, and get some goodies for your trouble.

Hey, I've got to stick up for my Seed, man. It's been very good to me, and while it may have pre-made structures, I could just as easily destroy them for materials. Plus, it was the ONLY Seed I knew of (when I started) that had 40+ blocks of Clay to work with... not to mention the pre-made Bricks in the primary village.
Lets start with the pros

I saw that literally just after I made that post.
More incentive to play tutorial again now.
Thats cause its awsome.

But it's a tutorial, designed for those new to minecraft.
For that purpose, it's great!
