I used to play pc minecraft all the time but my computer broke so i got it on xbox i hate the crafting its way to simple i enjoyed the 2x2 and 3x3 crafting i think they should add it optinally for people who want to use also i think that they should add the optinal use of a keyboard and mouse it is much better than the EXTREMELY slow controller if you think this is a good idea i would love to see it in the game for people who want mor eof a pc feel please get this noticed if you agree
People have asked for it before, the reason they never implemented it in the first place was cause it would be too tedious to do with the controller. They said it wont be changing and I doubt they would add it in as an option
I'm fine with playing the game with a controller. If you up the sensitivity it works well, but the menus suck without a mouse. Gets annoying when you want to quickly sort items around in your inventory or chests and stuff.
That's exactly why I would like to use a mouse. Especially when you are handing over others' inventory when they die. If they had a full inventory, it'll take a long time to hand it all back.
Buy a new computer and continue playing PC, theres a reason why its like that on Xbox, because its not a computer if i want to play with a keyboard and mouse id play the PC version.
Every PC gamer wants a mouse so there is a platform where you can use a mouse, every console gamer wants a controller so there is a platform where tou can use a controller.
Stop whining and just play the game.

I think that if you want to play exactly like on PC, then play on the PC and stop trying to make the XBox version into the PC version.
It has it's own different strengths. I find the controller a great option for younger children. It's more intuitive for them. I like having the crafting interface in their faces so they don't have to remember what items and shape of items makes particular other items.
how would keyboard and mouse play even work for the xbox becuase the xbox does not even have a mouse and the keyboard is only a small chat pad.
You can plug a USB keyboard into the Xbox and it already works with stuff like naming your world and typing in the seeds on Minecraft, and theoretically you could plug a USB mouse into the Xbox as well... I'm not sure if the Xbox itself is even able to support that, if it can't then there's no way this would happen. Would be a nice touch though.
I don't think they should add the option of mouse+keyboard becuz as someone who has played both versions it just seems to feel more
natural on a controller imo.
Up the sensitivity on the controller, I find it just as good as a mouse at high sens.
Use the Y button to move stuff around chests or into your hotbar, don't know how much faster it could be.
I do that all the time. The problem is moving the cursor to where you want it and it not locking into a box all of the time. You can up the sensitivity on the menus but too much just makes it that much harder to place it over what you want to select.

It would be an option though. Meaning, you don't have to use the keyboard and mouse; it would just make it possible for those that prefer keyboard and mouse to use it. If this were added, it wouldn't hurt anybody at all.
I love using the controller, I would use it on my pc if I could. I do like the crafting on pc too, though at the same time its nice not having to move around multiple items just to make one little thing like a repeater. I think the xbox inventory could have been made to feel a bit more comfortable, but oh well. If you think the analog isnt good enough, use the d-pad.

I don't know why it would be slower to position a cursor on the XBox controller than it would be on a PC? It's just whatever you're most practiced with. I've watched my friend's kids clear and sort a full inventory into a chest in a split second. They are just that practiced with their controllers now. I know I can't do it that fast, but it's not the controller being slow, it's the operator; and, even though I am far more familiar with a computer mouse, I really don't think I'm that much faster positioning the cursor with one.

As an option, I'm not against it coming in eventually; but I think I would also prefer that 4J concentrate on other areas of the game right now. There is also the question of what sort of system resources the code for such an option would eat. It might be possible, it might not be possible. Only the developers know for sure.
After reading and participating in a number of threads that seem to have the same theme - the XBOX version is not the PC version.... etc., I think people are destroying their own enjoyment of a great game by continually comparing it rather than just enjoying the differences it has to offer. I've said it before and I'll say it again - if you really want to be playing the PC version, then do yourself a favor and play it on a PC. It's certainly not 4J's fault if you can't or won't invest in a PC able to play that version of the game.
lol I kinda found it funny you requested those 2 features. Im exact opposite.
I would love to use my xbox controller for PC (hate mouse and keyboard)
and
I hate crafting on the Computer because I always have to look stuff up.
If for some reason they feel the need to add the 2 features you reqeasted I beg they make them optional. (PS, pretty sure they dont said they would NEVER add in the crafting like on PC for XBOX.)
You mean they wont add this.

You can change sensitivity.
