"You attempted to reach marketplace.xbox.com, but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as a248.e.akamai.net. This may be caused by a misconfiguration on the server or by something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit a fake (and potentially harmful) version of marketplace.xbox.com."
Chrome spits that out when you use the above link to purchase Minecraft. I also noticed it's a redirection from a minecraftforum.net URL, and the server is using a certificate not for that server. I assumed it was an affiliate link for the forum administrators to make some money (redirected to hide that), but going to the site akamai.net goes nowhere.
The buy minecraft link sent me straight to the xbox 360 page to buy minecraft. I am also using mozilla.
Could it be an issue with your chrome or something? I am no computer genius so sorry I could not be any more help.
No, it was an invalid server certificate. Could have been a bug in the system, but it isn't happening right now to me. Could also mean malware has found it's way onto a server. That's why I said [Severe]. I'm worried it was malware redirecting to a malicious site masking itself as a legitimate one, with that legitimate one's certificate.
Akamai is a download manager for Adobe that they use for downloading all their big-name products (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, etc.) I've had multiple problems with Akamai myself because Adobe is very strict with their certificates for everything. I recently had to fix an issue with Adobe Reader because of this (I wasn't able to view PDF's and had a similar error message).
If you use any Adobe products I'd look into this. If not, I'm not sure what else it could be besides malware.

If so, thanks for the warning.
