So i dont know how many out there read the interview with notch at pax but he say that MCXBE will never be the same as the PC version and then says plus pc has mods and everythng so hes clearly not talking mods so does this mean that 4j is updating to a certian point then stopping or what
Acording to this interview http://www.g4tv.com/...nd-console-gap/, 4J plans to update to the release version and then go their own way with the game. Whatever that means.
We know for sure they are updating to at least 1.2.3. They said they will be updating beyond that, but didn't give any version numbers or any indication of that that actually means.

i will cry if we dont get temples and pyramids, those are what im looking forward to most. it gives you a reason to look through deserts, so they aren't just wastelands with an occasional village and makes jungles even more fun to walk through.
I could care less about mods, or having a large world if thats what being the same means. Ive played both and had a a hard time seeing what the differences are aside from the mods and a much larger world, i had the same experience playing the PC version as i do playing the console version. I could live a few differences, as there arent many that would ruin the game experience if you didnt have.
So i beg the question same in which way?

True, but a mod will come out for the PC version pretty much a few days after the "exclusive" content comes out on the XB.
So, it'll never really get "exclusive" content, there'll always be a mod for it.
If anyone honestly expected the Xbox 360 Edition to be exactly the same, then they were being optimistic.
4J has said on many occasions, before and after the game came out, that they wanted this to be a seperate game. They wanted it to be the Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition, not Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition (but really just a console port). They've intended it to be more than a port since day one.
It's obvious that the Xbox will never be on the same level as the PC.
Think about it this way. Let's say we all get on today and there's an update catching us up to 1.3.2 with PC. If this happened (which it won't), we would be caught up with the PC version right?
In a while, the PC will be getting the 1.4 update, but the Xbox will still be on the 1.3.2 update. See? We're behind again. Then we get 1.4 and they get 1.5. They will always be ahead of us. If you're expecting anything different, then you're clueless.
