I wish it was possible for there to be a pinned thread or something along those lines where people post the usernames/GT's of any griefer that has griefed them. Then if somebody recognizes a username/GT they will know to kick them immediately. If the thread was used properly, that would make griefers too terrified to grief because their reputation would be destroyed, and nobody would want to play MP with them.

I turned auto save off, as I mentioned before. And I did say I was prepared,
so I shouldn't have learned any lesson, for I already did a long time ago.
Pardon my mistake regarding your autosave. Obviously someone took advantage of your generosity to play in your world. Was this a real-life friend or someone you befriended over XBL?

There used to be but some innocent people were put on the list and Curse deleted the thread. It would be nice tho and sorry that happened to you Chopz. I've never been griefed.....yet(hopefully never) and it pisses me off when I see or hear about other peoples work in MC or any MP game get ruined. Anyways, I have several copies of all of my different worlds saved to different memory devices and auto-save turned off. If I'm ever griefed, so be it. I find who it was, avoid player, block communications, and load my save or back-up (if I saved after being griefed.)

I don't know. Most people play with freinds. It's greifers that look for victums not on thier friends list. Putting my name out there as a griefer wouldn't hurt me at all. It would hurt the d-bag greifers and make them less effective at what they do.
I know that it's "just a game", but that's not it. It's the amount of time you put into the game. No matter the outcome of griefing, the victim looses time. Either the victim has to reset everything because autosave was off and the problem is fixable, or the game autosaved and the victim lost hours of time and hard work that was put into the game. The first is annoying enough to make you mad, as is any loss of time, but the second is absolutely outrageous.
Time is limited, so the victims have every right to be pissed off at griefers. For all you griefers out there, stop now because karma will catch up to you. For all you insensitive grifers out there who like to see people suffer at your hands, you have a problem that needs to be fixed.
An idea to help this problem would be maybe have some kind of thing in the game that makes a duplicate of your world, kinda like a backup or something.
At the end of the day its is just a game, you can either play offline and not let people join or just play with people you know. It may suck but thats how it is, your going to get those people looking to wind you up, you play online you play at your own risk, if this isnt a disclaimer i dont know what is. "game experience may change during online play". Just like there are going to be the good guys who play, there is also going to be the odd guy who wants to destroy something, and an open game lets these people do it, it doesnt bother me you can save before hand and if something happens reload. Thats one good thing about the xbox version, no autosave no permanent damage.

I let my gameplay speak for itself. I'm not a negitive person to play with. In fact, in MC360, I'm pretty much the opposite of a greifer. I feel like the rule to keep certian gamertags from being revealed dose more to protect greifers than anyone else.

I know that this seems like the right thing to do, but you have to
experience such a thing to speak such bold words.
I don't care much about Griefing. What I do is Mine and make homes and stuff on my own. I know what friends to play and mine with and what friends to random stuff and NOT save. When someone joins, I ALWAYS save right away. Sometimes I tell my friends they can grief and take whatever they want, I just won't save. I think Griefing is annoying when you are working on something and they came to your world JUST to kill you. I have a friend like and if he ever joins, I kick him. I know him in real life so I won't delete from my friend list but I know for sure that I can't trust him. Griefing is only fine if you give permission. If you don't, it is really annoying.
Honestly it isn't hard to get into a griefer's mind... when all you have to do is something you know people won't like, and like doing it at the same time. You guys really don't have to argue about state of minds because one day you might respect everything people do in minecraft, and the next when something sets the wrong switch off in your head.. you dont GAF. My best advice avoid the little 10 year olds. No matter how trust worthy they always for some reason have to do some secret mission **** and fill things with obsidian or line your map borders with TNT.
I agree with you 100% but I also have to be honest with myself. I have griefed before but it was an action of revenge for my reasons, I am not one of those jerks who attack for no reason and if a reason not a dumb one like "Cuz I feltz like it." but I was getting revenge over this kid named Ben who is indeed a ... jerk I would say a better word but I am not going to cuss. He is the main title for a jerk and thinks he is the king of gaming... when he sucks... he brags when winning a custom game in Halo Reach when we are doing the Ninja course (Parkour course basically) and I make it to the end yet he has less kills making him Brag saying is on top of the score board... Normally I don't care but he also was a jerk to his own friends and made jokes of rape to a girl I am great friends with. So in revenge I recorded him and Griefed him and also trolled him in MW3. Also before I griefed him he Griefed me and my friend like the jerk he is.
