4J hasn't said anything about adding villagers early. I doubt they will. And if they do, don't expect to be able to trade with them. That was only just recently added to the PC version.
Wait...what?? I thought we weren't getting villagers til 1.2.3? Are you saying we are getting them in 1.8?
I think they meant that the next update is 1.8.2, but that trading was added in 1.3, therefore we will not have trading(and along the same line, no villagers either, until 1.2.3).
