Thanks for correcting me. I'm sorry, I thought jungles were for sure and strongholds were the maybe. ;D Truthfully, I didn't check before posting and this whole update keeps getting bandied about so much and so many threads have even been deleted on it that I've, quite frankly, completely lost track.
No no I wasn't trying to correct you I just wasn't sure myself and wanted to see if we were getting jungles or not. trust me I'm not the correcting type. It would be nice to get them early tho
Except they won't. Title Updates are not DLC. 1.8.2 Title Update will NOT be DLC. Title Updates are FREE. And even if they decided to make it DLC, it can still be free.
I'm with Damien, I highly doubt that would ever happen. Even if they ran out of free updates, I think they would pay MS themselves to do the update and throw out a few extra textures and skin packs before they would release an update as DLC.
The hunger bar. It is really unnecessary and really just an added annoyance to the game. I dont know why that needs to be added. There are plenty of annoyance things already like drowning and lava. I was a little concerned about Endermen, but thats what Diamond Swords are for.
Only making a new world. Other than that, I can't wait for the update.
I just hope the updates comes soon because I want to update my current world and I will feel stupid if I keep updating it knowing that I will have to start a new one eventually. Well, a new world is a new adventure right?
From what I understand, they made it more "realistic", so like how we get the crazy mountains and cliff overhangs and valleys right now, that doesn't really happen in the PC version(except for extreme hills biomes). This causes for flat ground, and not really interesting areas to look at.
Thanks for answering my question. Until this thread I wasn't aware that happened (in one of the past updates) nor that people were so upset by it.I have another question. I'm reading talk about Eldermen being annoying because they can take boxes but on the wiki I read they seem to be really rare outside of The End and Nether. Is there really that much concern about them in the regular world?
I don't know anything about Minecraft really and the Xbox is my first experience with it. I was excited for the updates but with posts like this I don't know what to think anymore.

I wouldn't call them rare, but they are fairly uncommon. But if you play long enough, enough of them will spawn to cause havoc by messing up your builds and landscape. In a later update the things they can actually pick up is limited so they aren't as bad. We don't know what version of them we will get in our next update though.
can some1 please explain to me why you would need to make a new world ? does an update delete your current world ? sorry for the newb q?
If you have explored your whole map, then you will need to make a new world to get the new terrain features such as ravines or villages, or abandoned mineshafts. They won't just magically show up in your world when the update comes out. The only way to get them in your current world would be to have unexplored areas. If you want these new terrain features, you will need to start a new world to get them. You will be able to use all the new items and blocks that are added though. But again, say you want melons, you would need to look in unexplored areas of your map to find the seeds (or just add them with creative mode).
So short answer, no you don't have to start a new map when the update comes out. You can still play on your old worlds. If you want to experience all the features of it though, then you will, assuming you have explored all of your world already(which by this time most people have).

thank you for that very detailed and fast answer ! i was thinking i would lose all the work i have done over the last few weeks after reading this thread phewww .

i don't think anyone would be forced to start a new world unless the "certain world's not loading" bug rears its ugly head again after the update. Hopefully, 4J have fixed that one.
I think some people, including myself, are a little concerned about whether or not they're going to like the changes (or lack thereof) that might occur in their old worlds as the game incorporates things like new biomes and terrain features into a world that is relatively small in size (at least when compared to the PC). While explored terrain is unlikely to change, the climate apparently may change even if the area has been explored. Whether this will affect areas of any world in an adverse way... well, we'll just have to wait and see when the update comes out. I'm certainly not going to start a new world until after I actually see what happens to the old one.
i think this update will be good... zombies drop rotten flesh instead of feathers... why did the zombies carry feathers? Also the ocean size will be greater and more cay will be added to the ocean floor making it less rare. Thats just my opinion.
The lighting
Sprinting
Hunger
Horrid terrain
Less sword damage
Endermen
Villages
Swamps
Huge Oceans
Rotten flesh instead of feathers
Did I mention I hate the Post 1.7.3 Terrain?
So does anybdy have an idea about how creative mode will work? I mean will it work like on the PC where you can switch game modes whenever you want, or will we have to exit the world to change it, like the difficulty settings? I hope to god it'll be more like the PC version.
