I believe 4J could introduce a new server set up that would be
pretty cool and unique. It will have the aspects of both
Deadrising 2 and Battlefield 3.

In Battlefield 3, you are able to select servers that don't have
to belong to your friends. I think this would be best because we
have a find players section and you have to friend everybody that
wants to join your server. Then, people could set up servers
allowing people to join. But what about griefers?

That's where the deadrising system kicks in. On Deadrising 2, everybody
that tries to join your game will let you know first and give you the option
'Yes' or 'No'. This would make it to where you don't have to constantly
kick unwanted guests.

Looking for a specific server? Type in keywords or the name of the server.

Want to play alone? Make your server private. Or, allow your friends to
join and then set it on private.

There's so many things they could do with this system. Any opinions?

We are talking about Microsoft here. They probably will charge like 50 bucks per month of renting a server.

I don't know, Battlefield I think does it for free and that's
on xbox. And are you sure Microsoft would be in charge of that?

Well I'm not really aware of all the technical issues that will
occur. So you're probably right.

I believe 4J has already said that they would consider something like this already, but other than that we haven't really heard anything about it from them.

Yeah 4J would have to get the ok from microsoft if they ever want to add servers, but as for who we would pay i have no idea. (most likely microsoft.)

I didn't even know you had to pay for servers honostly. But 50 bucks
a month?!? Yeah I don't know about that. That's more than twice the
cost of the game. 400 msp possibly.

I don't even know what the price range would be.

yeah you'll have to pay since they'll pretty much be private servers, but i'm sure if they do make them available they'll have a couple public ones owned by 4J.
i'd say it'd depend on the number of people that would be able to join, so it could be anywhere from $10-50 a month.

I honestly doubt they'll add servers, but if they do it won't be for a very long time.

I somehow doubt they would make you pay much if any and I do think its a good idea.

P.S why the MS hate?

It is? I thought it was between 30-35 dollars? I could be mistaken but I thought I saw a post on Battlelog by an admin who rents a BF server and was talking about a discount if your Premium.

I think right now everybody decided it would be around
$10-$50. Ranging around there.
