i don;t think tekkit will ever happen .. the amount of nnew data that updates the game with ((items, ores and whatnot)) add all hat wit the save limit we have currenly on xbox.. never gonna happen

Well, 4J has pretty much stated that DLC won't be copy and pasted computer mods, so I'm hoping for something original, but adds game-changing material like the more popular mods do.
If I had to choose one Mod to heavily "inspire" a X360 DLC, I would say the aether, but if it was as small as our nether, then nevermind anyways.

4J's going to go the Bethesda route and make DLC based off of mods (like how Skyrim's Hearthfire was based off of some mods where you could build houses and adopt kids.)

I don't game on PC so I've never used any mods. I don't doubt that Hearthfire was similar to some user-made content, Bethesda stated that Hearthfire was created due to popular demand. I don't have a basline for comparison between the mods in question to the DLC.
I was just genuinely interested if Bethesda had come out and said something along the lines of "These modders got ideas, we're gonna borrow some."
