I apologize if this has already been discussed, but I need some help finding moss stone.

I have around 640ish blocks of moss stone, but need about 100 more to finish my Borg Cube. I really dont want to make the cube any smaller or it will look too small next to my enterprise.

I know the only way to find moss stone is to find spawners, but I have already found quite a few obviously and I am not sure how many more there are.

My questions are: Does anyone know the maximum number of the spawner dugeons there are and whats an easy way to find them? I believe I have found 11 or 12 already maybe 13. I have found them at Y Coord 34 and up to around 59. These are just the ones I remember so they could be much higher or lower. I know all about the cobblestone thing as I have already found around 650 blocks.

Also do you guys think one of the updates will allow you to make moss stone. I would love to really make one heck of a Borg Cube, lol!

As far as I know, there is no set number of dungeons allowed on a world since it's completely randomly generated.

Mossy Cobblestone still isn't craftable on the PC version, so unless 4J changes so we can craft it, it won't be craftable unfortunately. You could always dupe it.

Wow, I had no idea there were that many mob spawners per world...I would have guessed about half of that. This is good info. Thanks.

I guess I am going to have to have it shoot more colored wool at the enterprise. I wonder why the PC version cant craft it. You would think by now they would allow that to happen.

I have thought about duping, but I really want to keep this map legit. I already built a huge homer simpson out of wool and that took forever to sheer enough sheep. He is so darn fat.30 dungeons?! Man if I could find just two more I would be set maybe three. I did find one strange glich where if you dig a 2x1 walkway down by the bedrock layer you can see things that are lit up by lava or torches. I havent had any success though as to finding the spawners.

also dont forget they have creative mode so they might use that to get their moss stone

The amount of dungeons in a world (for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition) is limited, but varies. You could have 3, you could have 30. You never know!

in situations like that duping is your best friend

Well, one thing I know is you don't have to go down very far to find a spawner, since my friend found one like 4-8 blocks down in a small hill, and in the new world I made there was one about 5 blocks down. As for the amount of them in one world, I wouldn't be surprised if there were more than 30, when you think about how big these worlds really are.

If you don't want to dupe you could wait for the Creative update. That is, if we are allowed to switch from Survival to Creative when ever you want.

X-Ray machine is probably your best bet. Yeah, it's glitchy and kinda cheating, but it generally less "risky" compared to duping methods. I will probably have to use one at some point in my legit world, but I'm trying not to.
