The coding bug was because Notch had intended the creeper to look much like that of a pig, instead of length he put values in height and height in length. making it tall (that was the bug) He never had modelling software so he did it with coding. He even quotes this himself. Then later adding the green colour and exploding feature
This will get fixed in 1.2.3 when mobs get pathfinding, and other smarter AI changes. But it is pretty funny.
Haha..., won't be fun tricking them into lava anymore when this is done. Especially on Hard mode, this will make fightning monsters more of a challenge.

The creeper came from a coding bug, so no one actually created a creeper. The creeper was originally a bug like all the others.
Creepers probably go left because of an error in their coding and mojang just left it this way.
Coding bugs make Minecraft fun, at least for me. Wouldn't like it as much as a perfect game without any problems.

1.2.3? You know we're on 1.3.2, right?

You know this is the xbox section, right?
We're still a long way from 1.2.3, let alone 1.3.2.
Before you post, you should take note of where you're actually posting. This is about the Xbox version, we are in 1.7.3 right now.
