Hello everyone. I decided to make an automatic wheat farm because with the addition of the hunger bar in the next update, an automatic wheat farm would be quite valuable. Since I have little skill with redstone, I decided to find a video tutorial of how to make it. I found , and I replicated it EXACTLY. Some of it works, but some of it doesn't. The block updates will trigger the dispensers, but they won't make the farmland block pulse up and down. It basically works fine until I have fully grown wheat on the farmland block because the block doesn't pulse up and down which should pop the wheat off the block so that the process repeats. I even tested the concept that's supposed to make the farmland block pulse (I think the first part of the "How It Works" section of the video), and it worked fine independent from the rest of the machine.
I realize this video tutorial was done on the PC version. Does this design not work on the Xbox 360 Edition because of redstone problems? I don't think I did anything wrong because I followed the video exactly (I even rebuilt it to double check), but I wouldn't rule out the possibility.
You need to add a repeater on the going into the bottom piston(the one with the tilled dirt). It will work that way. I will try to find a video showing a fix.
frankly u should just farm manually its much better that way cause one problem automatic farms cause is that because of the 200 item drop limit is that lets say u accidentally dropped some diamonds or diamond tools and/or armor and didnt notice and then you activated your farm and if the drop exceeds 200 your diamond stuff on the ground would disappear
Our redstone doesnt act in the same way. It is more glitchy here, as most know, and i think there is a difference with the way it powers blocks (cobble, dirt, etc).
But, we have a big advantage in that we dont suffer from distance issues with our redstone.(credit to nose_job for finding that)

Any help would be extremely appreciated!

Retired StaffEDIT: Just curious, but why does the Xbox 360 Edition need the repeater and the PC version doesn't?
