So, i just got minecraft for xbox 360 the other day. The demo seemed good, nice control scheme, ran smoothly.
But i have to say, i'm pretty disappointed. I can ignore the tiny map size but no server list? really?
I don't have any friends that play minecraft on xbox 360 and i don't want to have to go down a list of people in some thread, hope that they will accept, hope that they are on when i am, hope that they have enough spaces, hope that they stay on for as long as i am, etc. And even then you only get a chance to play with a very small group of people compared to the millions that actually brought the game. It's just a lot better to be able to join a match with random people and make new friends and this current system is a ridiculous hassle that really isn't acceptable.
You know what's a lot better? the system the PC version has. Why do we get an inferior version when we paid just as much of our money? Why can't they just make it so people can choose to make public games that anyone can join? (or even dedicated servers)
If i had known that i couldn't really play the game online and make new friends in a non-artificial way, i wouldn't have bought it.
The PC doesn't have a server list either. You have to do the same thing on the PC that you have to on the Xbox 360.
You have to go out and find people to play with. On the PC, you need their IP address. On the Xbox 360, you need to be friends. Almost the exact same thing.
If they do add public games, it won't be in the next update.
