Very well done. A small correction. Ancient Greece was 8000BC to 600AD. Egypt was around 3150BC, China 1700BC.
Ancient Rome was the only ancient civilization to compete with the Greeks. Thats why are often grouped together in "Classical Antiquity".
So actually your "Ancient" category should include Greece and Rome since Egypt is modern compared to them. :-)
PS.
(For the people that don't know BC dates go backwards, 8000BC is older that 3000BC).
Thank you! However, I don't believe that the ordering matters much as long as they receive the information.
There is also the lesson "Classical" for general Greco-Roman architecture.
This "class" setup you have here is well done and and great for people who need a little structured help to overcome the artistic challenges. Thanks for posting!
@JDawgMillenium that was an amazing post and I will definatly refer back to this whenever I am creatively constipated. Also I couldn't help but notice under Subsection A: Unique Lesson 1: Expressionism your formula b=*adfp(-rcm) . you declared all the variables at the beginning of your post except for m. I am just wondering if m is a variable you forgot to declare or if it is just a nasty little letter that snuck in there. I was really paying attention I guess
@Anablephobia R.L freaking Stine!!!!!! that takes me way back to my childhood. first books I ever got into reading and goosebumps was just starting out at that time. oh that was so long ago thanks for the trip down memory lane. I've probably still got like 30 of his books or so still packed away.

I tried to sign my name here, but all I managed to do was ruin my computer screen.

Apologies! "M" stands for modern; my revisions led Section A to only dedicate a single lesson for all modern builds, so it was a pointless addition. And yes, you were very observant!
Also, does your name refer to To Kill a Mockingbird?
Repped up - Good job!
FYI - forme - some of the spoiler tags wont open. I don't know if it's browser behavior or site script -
going back and re-reading it now
I had that happen once. Reloading will probably fix it.
By the way, for those who do not know, I have recently made some changes to the Op. Every section (except for A) is inside a spoiler for the appearance of a smaller page accompanied with Section D: Need More Help?

snip...
It most certainly does. Nice catch. I think it's this topic that makes everyone observant

Awesome. I was just complaining about people complaining about being out of ideas. I tried to be proactive myself by posting an art challenge: http://www.minecraft...enge-grass-art/

I find that creating floor plans in a grid layout in Microsoft Excel using different colours for different blocks etc is a great way to prepare for a build.
I manage to iron out mostly all potential problems by mapping my builds out in Excel firstly, before I even start up the game.
I have floor plans and side on view designs for all my buildings , it makes it a muchhhh simpler task just to look at my computer screen or printed plan on A3 paper and just build while looking at it, no thinking required during the actual building, makes it much faster and gives you a lot less headaches when you dont have to problem solve whilst building.
This thread needs in game examples of each design type that corresponds with the real life examples. Translation of nuances into the comparatively large material sources in-game are often very difficult.
This thread also needs to be stickied, mods. This is the highest quality post I've seen on this forum for months.
BOOKMARKED!!!!!
One of the best threads I've read!!!! At first I thought it was gonna be a joke and laughed a lil when you said to please sit down for class, but OMG what great info!!!!
A personal thank you for taking the time to write this up to help all us minecrafters
oh can I suggest another seminar on inspiration, such as where to get ideas, what you have here is a treasure trove of great info
with the ease of comprehension, I'd love to hear more of what you have to offer as far as building upon ideas. Anything else really I'd def. read and would be very interested.

I was going to do that originally, but the textbook, bland nature of some of the ancient builds made them hindrances to create. Perhaps it is time to go forum lurking.
