First off I wanted to start by saying i know how to read and use the slime finder. I have built many slime chunks and such on this and different maps and never have had any issues until now. I have looked on the different versions of slime finders using seed name and or seed number with the same results. The issue is I dug out a huge batcave esque chamber(form bedrock to level 45) at the corner of the map. But slimes are spawning where they should not spawn, off the reported chunks. I have placed glass(which I have always been told slimes or any mob cannot spawn on) under the entire slime chunks +1. But they are still spawning only not on the proper chunks. I have marked on the below screen capture of where my cave is at(black box) and where they seem to be spawning(red marks). Glass section is at X -417 = -399 / Z 399 = edge of map and X -417 = Z 399 / Z 351 = 369 . Anyone ever seen this happen or know what is wrong?
they dont always spawn on the green spot i belive some times around them and all that. y u no like slime? anyways yea idk whats wrong but what i think is that they are spawning outside of the green box bc the world is not big enuff for them to spawn on the right chunk idk how to explain it sorry i tried my best
I dont think they are spawning on pads I sit and watch the chunks from one side of room and never see them spawn on pads but will see them spawn in the dotted lower locations for certain. One theory I had is they are spawning off the map in the walls and glitching through because I have seen a few in the wall that come out.
I've seen one big slime glitched into a broken wall in one of my slime chunks, and then disappear. (I assume it went to the other side, but who knows.) Right after that, I fixed the jagged break with cobble. Filled it in solid.
I used that app to send me to a good group of chunks, and it worked out well, so I don't know, man. From my experience and the reports of others, it seems to do its job properly.
I guess that maybe the block picked for the spawning is right on the edge of the chunk. When the game picks that block, the slimes can spawn around said block and are possibly spawning just over the border.
Most likely pointless question as you say you have done it multiple times, but did you double check the seed number of your map really is 56349376 ? Maybe you misspelled the seed a little bit, or string->seed conversion is different on XBox?
I wish it was as simple as wrong seed number, but no. I have checked my seed number many times from the xbox start game screen its spot on. I have also typed the seed name in as you can see in the photo above with same results, turnofthetides seed# 56349376

The meaning of life, secrets of the universe, spiritual enlightenment, just ask...
When you load your world up does it say "56349376" for the seed o.O are you sure....
Yes I'm absolutely positive it says 56349376 when I load the map.
I have made an improvement by glassing the entire floor on both sides of the bottom slime chunks and it seems to have stopped most of the spawning. I am still getting one slime or so occasionally but I believe its from the upper chunks or off the map(which I cant stop.) so I'm sectioning areas off to find exactly where I might need to glass next.
After I thought I had found all the caves near my slime chunks, I discovered a lot more. I spent over an hour spelunking and putting up torches. Good thing I found lots of coal in the process. Hundreds of torches went up all over. And my slime generation is still slow. The last thing I did last night was chase the sound of a skeleton. Turns out the sucker had spawned inside a pocket made by gravel that had come down. He couldn't have had more than a 2x1x5 space, and he still spawned. Every other mob that spawns takes away slimes that can spawn. Yes, it's frustrating as hell. Just keep plugging away at it. You'll get there.

Retired StaffSeems odd they would be spawning in non specific chunks.
They only spawn in specific chunks below layer 16 (your "Y" on your map)
