so i join a non duplicate server . i played in that server for about 4 hours and i got 6 diamonds under the coals. i gave the other 3 diamonds for my friend and i mined 10 obsidian. this where it's start to get bad, i build a portal and when i got inside we got a really small island of nether rack and when all the my friends went in a ghast shot at all of us and deactivate the portal but good thing is i got my flint a steel but the bad problem is that the ghast shot was glitching in front of the portal so bad that it won't activate the the portal but a player joined the server and came with a lot of cobble in my chest. but when he got to our portal, he didn't came from the portal in the nether he came from a another generated portal next to the small island so he have to build a a cobble bridge and a ghast shot to the player and knock over the cobble bridge and the glitching ghast shot was removed and i can activate the portal and my friends came back from the overworld but step back a little bit in the portal and i fell in a pool of lava and lost my diamond pick. i spawned in my house and all my friends were in my house and they said that we need to destroy the portal and move it some where else so they ask me to destroy the portal but i don't have my diamond pick and you remember my friend that has my other 3 diamonds my friend fell in the pool of lava and lost the three diamonds. so we leave the portal alone and put a sign say do not go in the portal.
Wow, what a run of bad luck.. Hopefully, you and your friend will find some more diamonds soon to replace your lost pickaxe.
I hate the nether. In my primary world, I've been there just once. My portal in that world is hanging up in mid-air about 50 blocks above a great big lava lake. I've been stockpiling gravel and cobble to try to build a bridge from the portal to get to some land, but I keep putting it off and putting if off... telling myself, who needs glowstone anyway?... and don't even mention ghasts...
Referencing the OP. I thought Ghast's couldn't damage cobblestone? I build a cobblestone barrier around my portal and a Ghast hasn't damaged it yet. I wonder how did it knock over you cobblestone bridge?
