During the day, get enough wood to build a house. I usually collect 3 wood then make a pickaxe of wood, mine 3 stone, and get an axe of stone. That really increases my speed.
You can make your house any day you want to, but if you are not going to make an official house, I would recommend living underground.

This seed spawns you near a dungeon, connected to a cave where you can find just about every available ore possible just by looking around. The dungeon also has iron ingot so you can make an iron pickaxe when you start.

Are you aware of which section you're in? This is about the Xbox version, which has the old world generation, so those seeds work.

It spawns you near a lot of tall cliffs thagt have a lot of ores
