Will the rate get any faster? Months have gone by & hardly close 2 PC! But I'm glad of addicatation because MINECRAFT being good as it is so far compared 2 PC & still catching up. Look on the bright side atleast creation will come soon. Does anybody know when jungle biomes come? Hopefully, CTF will b good. Will 4J studios release mods soon for download? So far I've been getting a kick on trying different assortment of maps.
I'm thankful that we're as close to PC as we are... The last game I played where Xbox was behind PC, the Xbox game came out 3 months after the PC version but at the end of the run it was over 3 years behind.
However, the Xbox won't catch up to the PC. If you think about it, the PC is going to keep getting updates and we're probably going to get them after the PC has had them for a while. If we catch up to where they are now, they'll get a new update and be ahead of us. See what I mean? It's an cycle that only ends when either the PC or the Xbox stop getting new content.
I'll say this though, 4J is doing an amazing job, and I wouldn't be surprised if we got the PC updates just a few weeks after they get them. For that I am incredibly grateful and I hope a lot of people here are too.

Jungle biomes will come in 1.2.3 and I'm hoping CTF won't need gold.
Until they stop updating the pc version, which probably won't happen for a very long time, it's highly unlikely for the xbox version to catch up. It's possible 4J may get a lot faster and catch up, but it's highly unlikely.
This is a sort of repetitive subject and has been brought up
many times. I think the conclusion is always "MC360 will
eventually catch up to the PC". If 4J throws these updates
out at this rate (1.8-1.2.3-?) then it is very likely we'll be up there
with the PC.
If you think about it, they really are two different games. It might never even have all the items the PC version has, because of the lack of making your own combinations. Or maybe they'll just make it all clumsy and cluttered by making a huge list of items, which will be dumb, because the PC version keeps getting bigger and bigger.
Don't expect us ever be on par with the PC version. So far updates have been taking about the same time they have taken on the PC version. I do expect 1.2.3 to be faster though. Just know that the PC version will always be updated first, since 4J would need the code from the update before they could start working on it.
Oh and guys, 1.3 will be alot faster for us and the reason is that
Jeb had to fiddle with the multiplayer on the PC to make it to where
people can connect more easily or something, so after 1.2.3 we'll
probabley set off to 1.3 and after that possibly the current PC version
^^^^^ YES, They are..... 1.8 then the full release AFAIK. (a bug patch or two in between) Should be on par or close to by next year... (Only a few months away)
Ok, correct me if I am wrong but cant 4J studios just make a major update skipping minor ones to catch up to PC?
Yes, they are going from 1.8.2 to 1.2.3, and will probably have bug fixes inbetween. But keep in mind just because they are "skipping" updates, they are still adding everything from those updates inbetween. This doesn't mean it will be any faster compared to the PC version, and so far with the updates we have gotten, it hasn't been.

I play socially with friends on Xbox and play PC for recording purposes. It's great to see the pc version get updated consistently, but it kind of makes you wonder..

A few more months 4 bugs is relatable but then well atleast we should have more basic stuff that PC has, makes since but I would'nt say we might get exclusives or ever surpass maybe because 4J & Mojang will come with what we won't expect, MAYBE.
Why is everyone talking about CTF? Is there an announcement by 4J I've missed?
Because a long time ago it was mentioned that Capture the Flag would be available on the Xbox 360 Edition first. There hasn't really been any mention of it since.

Any and all online multiplayer on the Xbox 360 requires a Gold membership. Unless it's one of those free gold weekends.
