Many people are debating whether or not it would be cheating to go into creative mode (when the 1.8.2 update comes out) and give yourself items that did not generate naturally, like pine saplings if your world did not generate with a taiga biome or melons on a pre-1.8.2 world.
Personally, I don't think it would be cheating if you don't give yourself more than 1. (In other words, don't give yourself 5 stacks of cactus just because your world didn't generate with a desert. Spawning 1 would be enough for you to farm everything else legit.) I don't want to start a new world just because the one I generate doesn't have some features because in the PC version, I know I could eventually come across it. I would consider it a way to compensate for something I wouldn't have to worry about in the PC version. It's not like I would spawn diamonds or anything that would ruin the survival aspect of the game.

So, do you consider it cheating?
