If Enchanting does come forth in the 1.8.2 patch, has it be announced if it would be the original one or the one where 30 was as high as you need to get to the best enchant?
My guess is it will be the original one. The new one wasn't changed until 1.3, I figure they will give us the old one first. I don't think they would pull something from that far forward.

I think you're right, but it still seems really stupid to me. Why not give us the perfected (if it can be called that) version? We seem to be getting all the regrets and even a lot of the same bugs as the pc version... It just doesn't make sense.

give your hopes up. Though enchanting would
be a magnificent add to 1.8, we are only
supposed to be getting 1.8.
NO!!!!! No information, No conformation, No real anything even pointing towards being able to enchant in the next update...... Not even a solid release month..... The phrase " we are looking into it " That's all we got!!!!!!! Anything else is pure speculation!!!!!!!! Best guess would be enchantments would be from early versions..... 1.8 is an update not a patch BTW..... (sorry for being mean but, How the heck would anyone know???)

Because that is not how coding works. Many parts of code are interlaced with other things. You can't just bring one thing forward and hope it will work properly. They have to lay out the groundwork before refining it. Better to give us the older version, and get the update out to us quicker, rather than give us the newer version, which causes a lot of bugs and delays the update a month or more.
Would be nice if they added enchanting to go along with the experience bar. If it takes longer for this, then I can wait. Best to see what is in store for us later, than continue guessing over and over again.

Agreed. I am so looking forward to Enchanting and to go along w/my favorite,most anticipated update(1.8) bringing enchanting forward would be like Christmas Day for me. Fingers crossed!!!
