hi!
ive been looking for slimes since i bought the xbox version of this game and found none. ive checked the online slime finder, built 4 massive rooms *when i say massive, i mean 150 blocks in every direction including upwards as high as the terrain allows* on the exact blocks that the slime finder suggests slimes will spawn, built them at bedrock and 3 and 4 above bedrock, lighting the entire rooms but never on the floor although i have tried that as well; *and hallways that are 3x3*, waited patiently on peaceful, easy, normal and hard and done these things over several different maps. im following everyones directions on how to find slimes however i'm beginning to feel as though they are just a myth! i have also lit every dungeon room above, below and to the side of each room that i have created. could someone please tell me what on earth i could possibly be doing wrong? 10% of slime block likely to spawn is outrageous and i've spent DAYS digging out these tunnels and rooms. frustrated and about to contact mojang about this ridiculous nature! im a creator and would very much like to have these but its just impossible. HELP PLEASE!
I'm not entirely sure if this'll work but if you used torches for lighting try replacing those with glowstone along the floor, roof, and walls. It worked for me!
thank you for the help fayzed! i still havent found any slimes though, and have a bunch of other monsters spawning but i have a really serious issue with the fact that out of 100 square blocks not one single one is capable of producing a slime; and not just in one area but in 4 seperate ones. its just to darned difficult to get them at all if you ask me and WAY too time consuming as well. its an issue that should be addressed!

i just made a slime room 2night switched to hard and went down and had slime... so i have no prob if u got TNT i can help u make a big slime room in about 20min or so

Caves will more than likely be your problem mobs will spawn up to 128 away from you.
i just made a slime room 2night switched to hard and went down and had slime... so i have no prob if u got TNT i can help u make a big slime room in about 20min or so
