I made a dark room that I saw on youtube, I have received about 10 disc so far because of the trap. Both the creepers and the zombies fall to a room where I walk by them and they kill the creepers giving me the discs, it works really well. It does however take a bit of time to make the trap since it is 82x32x4, you will need a lot of cobblestone and cobblestone slabs though. I duped what I needed so it took less time to make.
Oh I forgot to say I put mine on the ice I have on my world, so you could do it under ground and collect cobblestone as you go and make the room the sixe you need if you don't dupe.

Make piston traps. 4 pistons face upward in a plus design with a pressure plate in the middle. Lure creeper into them they become trapped then lure skeleton to them strafing to make skelly shoot creeper.

That's an interesting tactic Omega... Have you been able to collect many discs that way? I'm just curious. It's usually pretty easy to get the creeper to follow you to a trap like that just have to be carefull not to trap yourself but it seems like you'd still have problem of trying to get a skeleton to come after you in the same area. Especially without another creeper sneaking up behind you!
Do either of you have video's or screen of your setups?
I got both MC discs from dungeon chests. Only "Cat" is good, though. The other one is some freaky ambient BS. When they add more, I'll have to figure out how to go about getting them.

I have opposite opinion I dislike cat and prefer the moody ambient one.
I actually got really lucky and found 2 discs in one chest earlier in the game.. Since then though nothing. My sons have both been looking high and low for more but so far nothing even though we have uncovered 7-8 dungeons so far.

There is a few piston traps on youtube too. I did a quick search for Minecraft disc trap and several different designs come up.
you can just mod them in less then 2 minutes
like i said tho this isnt really allowed
and you can get banned for it

Items in dungeon chests are random per map, seed does not guarantee items to be there.
This is not the same one I used but he did it the same way . And if you like you can check out my trap I have time right now to show it.
