Its posts and people like this why i don't come back to these forums often any more... This is a stupid ass question! A lot of people will dupe because..... And some people wont because it kills the game for them!
I hate duping, I got almost a stack of iron blocks and almost 3 stacks of diamond legit. Way funner because now i have a epic looking mine, dungeons and more. I like how people's excuse is "but i want to build with iron blocks" I say get creative and find something else that looks good.
I think that duping ruins the survival mode of minecraft, yes. If you want unlimited amounts of blocks wait until creative mode is released. Survival mode (currently the only mode on the Xbox Edition) is about surviving and making due with what you're given, not making unlimited amounts of blocks by exploiting a glitch within the game.
Ultimately comes down to your playing style , not duping is a great way to go , but lets face it , your creativity will be quite limited , duping on the other hand makes things so much easier , also just cause you dup , that doesn't make you any less creative or hard working , you still have to build what ever your building or creating and there is no short cut there . Also this game is in no way a competition or even close to a score keeping game , and whats available to one is available to all , so just give it a try and you might change your mind , if anyone needs help duping I know several ways of doing it , plus I know of a way to make infinite blocks that never run out , and only take up one spot in your inventory , add me GT "FamilyGuy4545"

I don't see it that way. Having less materials to work with only makes you more creative. You don't really push yourself to find new ways of combining blocks to achieve different things with unlimited materials to work with.
I for one, do not support duping in anyway. It ruins the aspect of Minecraft especially when you are playing on SurvivalMode. I spent about a week gather wood from a forest and making my mansion and shearing sheep to make my pool. I mined, smelted, and make stone slabs for a temple. All without duping. In my perspective, it is more creative and fun to go around and get the materials you need and discover than to make an unlimited amount of an item especially when its a common material(wood for example). Duping ingots, diamonds, and ores makes it less of a challenge for Survival. And don't reply to me saying "Dur, i CanT find any dimondz" or "Our whirld is small and limeteed."
In short, if you duplicate, you don't have my respect as a real Minecraft player.
in my opinion it should be like pc cheats were you can enable it or disable it for your game, talking about commands like give, where you can get any block from typing in it's ID

Your post doesn't make a lot of sense. So, in your words, someone should "get creative" by restricting their creativity? I can see why you chose that username now. Imo, one is able to build something more creative when they have a larger selection of materials. For that matter, I don't see why people should have to go collecting any material if they don't enjoy it. The point of a game is to be fun, if you like mindlessly digging for resources, go for it. If you could care less about mining and just want to build something unique, **** the system, dupe your heart out.

No but I find it more fun and exciting to go around and get the materials yourself and while doing so develop more ideas to add on to your world and discover locations that fit to your liking than to get an unlimited amount of item and build in a small place of the limited world.
But I can't stop you from playing how you want to play. You can dupe, I won't, you think its okay, I don't, I won't and can't stop you.
Just play how you want to play, I won't play by duplicating.

I don't understand where the idea came from that mindlessly picking at stone or chopping trees makes someone a better builder. It's not like you're putting forth an actual effort and doing real work. You're playing a video game for christ's sake! Through my eyes, a mansion made from duped items or in creative mode is just as impressive as a mansion created in survival. Collecting resources is not part of the build. A contractor isn't paid by the client for the time he spends at the lumber yard/hardware store/whatever. The only thing that counts is the time spent on the job site.

Ha! That's my hometown, I used to live on south Hunter. Those were not good times, the whole east side of Wichita is a cess pool. I live in Argonia now, little bitty town, I can't stand the city anymore. And Oz Cafe and The Eagles Lodge were shut down, so now the only good reason to go to Wichita is when a good band is playing at The Scene-ery. Pretty much nothing good ever comes to The Cotillion it's a badass venue, but the security there are douchebags, they won't even let you throw down. You could get away with ANYTHING at Oz Cafe, that place was ****ing sick. I've only seen someone get kicked out of there once, but he was doing that gay ass slam dancing **** in a push pit, deliberately ****ing people up and started a big ass fight, so he deserved it. Jesus christ, I hate hardcore kids.
Anyway, I went on a bit of a tangent there lol, sorry.

haha dude i go to the cotillion only to see tech n9ne. and the security guards are pretty gay but alot of mosh pits get started at the concert idk why lol so if i have to push back i will

Pits at the Cotillion are usually pretty weak. I saw KMK and (hed) P.E. there when I was going through a weird high school phase. The pits were all like three or four kids getting thrown around. Stoners don't know how to mosh lol. It was pretty decent at the Summer Slaughter Tour last year. Whitechapel and The Black Dahlia Murder came down, which is really rare, so everyone was pumped. Security were complete dicks though, they wouldn't let anybody stage dive, they were stopping pits when they got good. They were putting the kabosh on hardcore dancers, which I actually don't mind, I hate those pussies.

Your contraptions have more redstone than they're are in the map. You have reasons to want that much.

If I dont dupe, and somebody who I dont know, on a world that I cant, see does duplicate something, how does that reduce MY games longevity?
