i find duping helpful cause we dont have creative at the moment you know so making really big builds is really hard with out a little bit of duping you know?
How do you put up a poll with a question with the answer's agree or disagree?? You ask a yes/no question, have yes/no as an answer! I could personally care less if people want to dup. Just be straightforward when you present something. If you try to pawn it off as legit when you obviously dupped, that's where the problem lies.
I disagree...I've never dupped myself just because of all the clearing I've done but I don't have any problem with people doing it. With the lack of creative mode for the xbox version, the limited map size, and lack/limit of some resources( i.e. clay). For some people it just isn't an option if they want to pull off some cool builds.
I have a feeling it's because of those reasons 4J hasn't fixed the glitch. I'd venture to say that it they had really wanted to get rid of it they would have by now but they know it allows players that to get around some of the limitation in the current release.

I said 'disagree' because I've played on maps that had a huge supply of duped blocks and it was really nice to not have to mine every block. I, also, don't mind if others do on their worlds. It's their game and they can play it how they would like in the absence of creative mode. I prefer not to dupe because I like the thrill of discovery while caving and I don't mind having to mine materials. To each their own.

I myself i hate duping in the way that it ruins the gameplay. I'd never let someone do it on my world and i wouldn't go on a world that someone had duped on.
But since this is minecraft i don't hate people that do it, i would just never do it myself.
I disagree I feel like duplicating is the glitched way of having creative mode on xbox until the update comes out. Not only that you have endless possibilities and supplies. I still love mining though.

I actually make no distinction between duping and creative mode as we dont have creative yet. And i tried to explain that i used the word "legit" very loosely. Above all else, to each his own.
Exactly. This won't disappear until creative comes out. Then its on to creative vs. survival. There will always be something for someone to gripe about. Hopefully this will be one of the cases where if most of us just ignore the posts the whole "issue" will go away.

I don't think it'll ever be creative vs. survival. once creative is out creative players go their way as do survival, especially if there are two subsections to the forum for each (which there should be). The only time problems arise is when people build something amazing in creative and claim it was legit in survival.

Completely agree with you on this. My apologies, I was referring to the war about switching between the two in the same game that has been raging now for the past few days. I had just read a thread about that, guess finishing my thought would have helped. BTW, I still laugh about the creeper memorial you built. Great work, loved the end haha.

Retired StaffThis guy has obviously never played on creative mode before. And, for your information, I never cheat in any other game.
I would like to see that too, and they probably will. But, players will just find a new way to duplicate, or mod in items.
