In Minecraft 1.7.3, there was a survival challenge calle the 404 challenge. You can now do the same thing in Minecraft Xbox Edition. To begin the challenge, start a new world and enter the seed 404.
THE CHALLENGE
When you spawn, there is some gravel next to you. You have one day (not including night) to gather supplies. At sundown, break the gravel near your spawn and enter the cave beneath. Your goal is to light up the entire cave.
RULES
1.) No PLACING torches. You can craft them, but no placing them.
2.) It must be played on hard difficulty.
3.) You have ONE life. If you die, you lose.
4.) You can play in a group. If a group member dies, then the rest of the group can carry on without them.
Good luck! To compete with others, post your time for completing the challenge. Your time starts when the sun sets after the first day.
Not only, but on the Xbox360, you dont always spawn on the same spot. If you make a world with the seed 1, and then make a new world with the seed 1, you might spawn in a totaly different place even though its the same world.
This is confusing, and not right. You copied the challenge, didn't copy it right, and gave no credit where credit is due? For shame, sir. For shame.
You don't light up the whole cave without torches, there's actually an in-depth scoring system based on killing mobs, and gathering resources.
The no torches thing is right though and if you don't like it then...
5. No torches! If you whine about why you can't use torches, just STFU. Real men use lava for light anyway! (Redstone torches, jack-o-lanterns, and flint n' steel are OK!)
The no torches rule makes the challenge, it would be too easy without it.
