To be Honest I wouldn't have minded waiting an extra month or so for Minecraft to be realesed on Xbox so that we could be in 1.8 rather that 1.6. I'm not trying to whine or anything, But it's just my opinion

Please dont forget its harder to code for the xbox. They got to squeeze it all down to 1 map. They should have just sorted that out first. Now not only do they have to decide what to pick from 1.8.2 but they also complicated it more by coding extra bits from other versions. Its become a hybrid. Nothing to compare it to, therefore needs more testing, during the testing they are probably finding more lag issues and glitch duplications.....going to be a while before they release anything.

It isn't true. Anyone who is saying that is either wrong, or will get very lucky by coincidence. There is no date for it. There is still many weeks of work left. Add on to that the potential for up to 2 weeks for cert testing(which I assume it might take since it is such a big update), then there is no way it will be out by the 15th.

Everybody keeps talking about how 4J said there are still many weeks of work left, but the thing is, they said that several weeks ago. I'm not banking on them releasing the update to soon, but that argument you guys are using means very little, anymore.
Exactly, it is not like they can just port the update over, the program minecraft runs on the PC and XBOX are different.
They have to recode EVERYTHING, not to mention the fact that they are adding super flat worlds from a later update, so it adds time. Then they may add breeding and/or enchanting, which may add more time.
Don't forget that 4J aren't the most competent developers in the industry, they've yet to release a single port that isn't a buggy mess. They've already proven that by missing the Minecraft Xbox 360 release date by half a year, I don't mean to knock them because I love what they try to do and have the deepest respects for them, but they're just not that capable.

That's my biggest gripe, Jeb and Dinnerbone are overjoyed to keep us in the loop, I'd love to see that kind of excitement on a daily basis from 4J.
I've been thinking that when it is end of the year, and 1.8.2 still won't be out yet. Anyone feel the same way about this? I mean, if this was just mojang working on it, it probably would have been out in at the most, August.

Given the fact it took Mojang until September to get 1.8 out, I don't think you can argue it would have taken them until August at most. Unless 4J majorly screws something up, it should be out by the end of October at the latest, but most likely before then.
